ice grillin you

I don't know if I hated it or loved it but the rehearsal might be the weirdest thing that's ever been on tv
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

it was one of my favorite things of the year...im shocked you watched it in the first place

a lot of people (with kids) were put off by the ending but i thought it was darkly hysterical.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I didn't care about the ending because I don't think it or any of the show was real....every single last person on it was an actor and no kids moved from their homes for it...do people really think that happened?....I don't think it was funny either way but if you think his rehearsals were real social experiments then it's not even remotely funny it's a drama...but if you think it's more along the lines of the shandling show or curb then I could see it being funny even tho I didn't

the everyone being an actor theory is very legit...a number of people (such as lunatic angela) werent credited which they would have to be if they were acting. but she had done some acting in the past and was behaving in such a strange manner that its impossible to believe 100% of her actions were her own

what I think makes the show bonkers crazy is not that I ever thought it was real not even from the first rehearsal...it's that a human mind could come up with the premise of the whole thing....felder is a genius for coming up with it...getting it green lit and executing it perfectly even if it wasn't for you

Like above and beyond the entertainment value of the show you cant argue that the man isnt a mad scientist

If you're into serial killer/psychology shtein the Patient on Hulu isn't bad. Steve Carrell (halfway decent actor when he's not playing the guy from the office) plays a psychologist. He wakes up one morning in a finished basement chained to the floor. One of his patients kidnapped him...tells Carrell he's a well known serial killer and needs help breaking the compulsion. I'm assuming the episodes are also airing on fx with commercials because they're only 20 minutes long so short time investment if you don't like the show.

its the most absurd thing ive ever seen which is why i love it

the very premise of the show is utterly preposterous and how he keeps both adding and peeling back layers of the absurdity is brilliant. in i think ep 3 or 4 when hes instituting the fielder method and hired two actors to play his roommates while he was playing the Açaí guy who was pretending to be someone else I absolutely lost it.

even bringing his bar set from ep1 to farging oregon and then turning it into a working bar was amazing. this show and severance are neck and neck for my favorite things of the year

I had a free trial for Paramount+ that's due to wrap up, so I watched The Offer. I found it far more entertaining than I'd anticipated. Good mini-series.

catching up on nerd shtein this week.

really diggin HOT D.  #TeamDaemon

Rings of power seems kinda meh so far but holy shtein the visuals - def one of the best looking tv shows ever.

Same. Hod > LOTR

I can't stand Viscerys...I'm hoping the daughter and Daemon team up to take him out.

phattymatty

yeah seems unlikely that such a fairly weak dude would stay king for so long.  I thought for sure the daughter was going to end up flying into the battle on a dragon and finishing the fight off with daemon.

I get it's all made up fantasy but still grosses me out when they bring up all the incest.  like that new suggestion of marriage this week was bonkers.

I've never paid any attention to the Thone Games Show, but even I know that the family with all the white hair is all about keeping it in the family.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Miami Vice was a little before my time but I remember watching a few episodes as a kid.  But this list of guest star cameos is insane...

Rome

Welcome To Wrexham is fantastic.   Reynolds is the most sarcastic farger ever, but you can tell he's a great guy under the smug smartass he portrays.

The best part of this has been McElhenny.  He's a Philly guy so you know he understands what it's like to be one of those poor schmucks who spends his entire life cheering for a hopeless cause, until finally, miraculously, it finally works out.

Really excellent story-telling too especially where the secondary characters are concerned.  I really like the blonde translator who insults them in Welsh.

Anyway, good series thus far.

Love it and even if you have zero interest in the whole show at least watch the first 15 minutes about Philly and the Birds.
