Glad to hear it. I haven't really gotten into S6 yet but expect to next week. BCS>>Breaking Bad imo.

Better Call Saul was fantastic.

It wasn't bad. I thought the two shows they announced with Odenkirk and Esposito were more bb spin-offs but guess not

PhillyPhreak54

They're doing another spin off?

BB was fantastic. I think I may have liked BCS a smidge more though.

damn you all think Better Call Saul was betting than BB?  That's high praise.  I stopped watching BCS after two seasons, liked it but for whatever reason never got back to it.  Maybe I'll restart at some point, been too long to just continue at season 3.

and I did finish Bear a few weeks back, last few episodes definitely made up for the first few.  still not sure it lives up to how much hype it got online but I'd recommend it.

Originally I did not. But as it wore on I liked it more and more.

For me it is very close on which is better - both were great - but the last couple seasons of BCS were really good.

I think they're just shows on amc with Odenkirk and Esposito but not connected to bb. Bcs was fine, I gave up on it for a bit, came back and glad I did. Rhea Seehorn stole the show. I've heard other people say they like bcs better but to me it's not in the same class as bb.

BCS was at least as good as Breaking Bad, full bodies of work all-inclusive. And they complemented each other well. BCS had every reason to be a train wreck, and they managed to make a compelling prequel and sequel effective even as a standalone drama with an original vibe. Impressive.

Put me in the camp that puts BCS over BB, and I thought BB was great.

This show on appletv called Black Bird isn't half bad. It's based off a true story. They put a charming convicted drug dealer in a separate prison with a serial killer to see if he can find the location of his remaining victims. The serial killer might have his murder conviction overturned...if the drug dealer can get him to disclose the location of his other victims his 10 year sentence gets wiped. Takes place in the 90's.

Decent cast so far: Bunny Colvin, Henry Hill, Dick Vermeil

breaking bad is better than BCS...this all feels like recency bias. BCS was tremendous but man BB was a special show

i loved the finale, as good as any other than the shield. just the perfect ending.

there are NO further spinoffs planned. none. the universe is probably over.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

It needs one more movie to show Walt Jr opening his own breakfast bar.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I don't think it's particularly close but I was never a huge BB fan to begin with...if you want dumb down entertainment the shield is a million times better than BB
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Although I haven't finished BCS yet, I like it more than BB because of its consistency. I thought BB began slowly and Cranston wasn't very good, and it took him a while to hit his stride. I only stuck with it because of the reviews. By the end it was great but BCS was solid all the way through.

Welcome to Wrexham on Hulu. Rob Mcelhenney (Mac from IASIP) and Ryan Reynolds buy a down on their luck soccer team in real life. Only through 4 episodes (last two haven't dropped) and it's half decent. If you have zero interest but have Hulu at least check out the first 15 minutes of the first episode. Mcelhenney explains why he wants to take on this  project, talks about the Eagles, how they're an extension of your family in the community...shows him at the super bowl and explains why it was one of the top 5 moments of his life. Juxtaposes that into why/how Wrexham and Philly are alike. Everyone on this board will relate.

Watched the first two episodes of LOTR rings of power on Amazon. I read lotr and the Hobbit, this is loosely based on the silmarillion. I know the gist of the silmarillion, I didn't realize how loosely they based it. First two episodes were only ok, once it picks up I'm sure it'll get a lot better. The scenery and score are excellent (tall task trying to match Howard Shores score on Lotr). The dialogue isn't great and acting is shoddy so far. I'll watch regardless because I'm a long time fan but I hope it's not a letdown.
