Brought up the Patriots and how they turned no-name free-agent acquisitions into major contributors during their super bowl runs...

No-name scrubs Randy Moss, Adalius Thomas, Corey Dillon, and Rodney Harrison.

Yes, that comment had me in stitches when I heard it.  Wish we could get scrubs like that.

Agreed on the Eskin comment.  He was by no means brother in lawing it with Banner.  He asked some good questions.

Loved the dude that called in and asked why the Steelers have won two Super Bowls in four years?  Banner tried to be funny and say "There better and smarter than us" than follwed up with his how close all the teams that make it to the final four are   ::)

and stop with the eskin asking tough questions...this interview was announced on monday and banner was given every question that was asked at that time....thus he had 48 hrs to write his answers....callers get screened as well...they arent going to allow anyone thru that is going to grill joey...when banner goes on angelos or the mid day show i might be a little impressed

like sd said the guy is sickeningly pompous except pompous doesnt begin to describe him

Of course has better potential and I am not dissing him. But this is not about who Jackson might be in a year or two but more about who TJ is right now.

On a team that passes as much as the Eagles do WHAT HARM would it do to add TJ even if he is not a Boldin esque #1? He is definetly better than Curtis, Avant, Baskett, G. Lewis. He has shown he plays well in a system opposite another good WR. We know the Eagles are not trading for a Chad Johnson or Boldin. They have tons of money.

I just don't get it anymore.

The only thing they get a pass on from me is WR. Housh isn't all that great and I do think they'll either trade for a WR or draft one early. If not, then I'll agree with you, but I think Jackson right now is better than Housh.

No in your opinion Hous is not as good but fact would indicate that is better than Jackson. TJ had one off season but in the previous 3 or so seasons has been one of the most productive WRs in the game on a very good offensive team.

Besides this is not about replacing anyone on the roster, more about improving it. Why not improve it?

im not large on housh but like retard says why not get him as an upgrade...forget comparing him to pimp...consider him a monster upgrade over avant or curtis...and since the eagles have more money than god thats not an issue...it can do nothing but help the team

The Steelers thing is simple, they get how football is supposed to be played.  Run and play defense.  The funny thing about him trying to be funny is he is exactly right.

Uh....which goes back to the player evaluation bit. Go and look at their drafts. Because of the way they develop talent, they rarely need  to go out and get anyone of note.

That goes without saying.  I hate the Steelers almost as much as I hate the Cowboys, but they get it from top to bottom.  That is why they have more rings than any franchise.
