None really.  If the object of this forum is simply to talk shtein without any basis of fact, then there's no difference at all.

That said...

He's wrong about the Phillies having no shot mathematically.  The Phillies are 2 1/2 games behind Cincinnati and 1/2 game behind San Diego & Arizona with 39 games to play.  It's not like they're 10 games out of a wildcard spot.

They have just as good a shot to make the playoffs as anyone else, especially if they continue playing the kind of baseball they've been playing lately.

Look at who they have to play the rest of the season, IGY.  Most of the games they have left to play are against teams with losing records.

After next weekend at New York......ZERO games against the Mets, Cardinals, Reds and NL West.
