:-D

my team last week played, we loaded the bases with no outs. mind you this is medium pitch softball...coming up to the plate, i was 3-3, so i hit into a double play...and we didnt score a run.

go phils.

wow, that's worse than mine, ha.  what's medium pitch?  i've never heard of it.  i play fast pitch and i know of slow pitch, but never heard of medium.

basically a hybrid of the two. its a 6 team league. but the pitching rules are that the ball can not travel higher than the height of the batter, and pitcher cannot wind his/her arm all the way around in a circle, just wind back, and throw underhand(obviously).

it's closer to slow than fast pitch.

it's closer to slow than fast pitch.

It also sounds like it's easier than both for hitters.

if def easier than fast pitch. but it's about the same as slow pitch, as the pitchers actually have more control over their pitches. i play in this medium pitch league for work (which is why we have some made up rules with the pitch speed)...and i also play in a slow pitch league through my wifes employer. difficulty is about the same as a hitter. however playing the infield is much harder in the faster pitch league.

Myers has turned into what we all hoped he would

what?

after all the coddling, and waiting...so all we ever hoped from myers was for him to turn out to be an overemotional pitcher who has consistancy problems?

He wasn't exactly coddled. He was brought up pretty quickly. He was 21 when he made his debut in 2001. And he has had 3 straight seasons of double digit wins.

So what if he is overemotional? He's young! And he's getting better at controlling himself.

And where are these consistency problems you speak of?

Please.

that over 4 era is all we have ever hoped for?...have you forgotten last september, when he went 0-2 with nearly a 5 era?

he's 26 now and no better than he was as a rookie...this isnt all i have hoped for with myers.

He's no better than when he was a rookie?

You're fargin nuts.

in 2004, he lost went through june, july and august getting only 4 wins out of 16 games
in 2005, he recorded only 4 wins  in the months of august september and 1 game in oct, which spanned 12 starts
2003 was his only full season without a full scale swoon to speak of.

he's a #3 guy. i expected more from him...he hasnt outgrown any bad habits from what i see...

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

philly fans are the best in the world. they are so generous they gave ove half of their tickets to red sox fans. bless their hearts.
