Alright, been thinking 'bout a tattoo for a long time, and have come to the conclusion that I didn't want to look branded with the Eagle logo, so I've come up with a few designs. Which looks the best?





Don't know if it's feasible to get this in color, but that would be what I'd want.

Well I like the first one.  It looks more like it's desending on it's prey.  The last two look more like it's squaring off "face to face"

Funny you should say that. The first one was drawn from another drawing, which is easier to make it look like a copy than drawing off a pic. Last two were off a pic. First one looks more like the pic, the second one I kinda' made it look more like I'd want a tattoo to look like.

work filter blocking the images so i have no idea what they are. 

but i look at it like this, if you can't make up your mind on what you want permenantly inked on your body, then you don't really want it.  or you don't really want a tattoo. 

it's cheesy as hell and cliche but i really think that if a person gets a tattoo then it should have serious personal meaning to it.  people who get tats because they think the design is cool or because everyone else is getting the same thing are ultimately going to regret it.

the first one plus it looks to be more like the old school eagles logo.  pretty cool.  weird because i just had this same conversation within the last week about how if i get a tattoo it would be something eagles-related but i didn't want it to be too namebrand-y, if that makes any sense.

i keep getting invited to this pantless ride on the dc metro this weekend.  apparently there's going to be close to 2000 people riding the train with no pants on.  same people who orchestrated the snowball fight a few weeks ago where the douchebag cop pulled his gun out.

Make sure they work from a picture of young Buddy. That way it'll keep looking right as you age.

ok, so now i'm home and can see the images and i gotta say that if you're going for something that doesn't look too much like the eagles logo, then you failed pretty miserably.  those drawings look like 2nd-4th place in lurie's "i want a new logo" contest.  very good drawings, but not a lot of separation between them and the logo imo. 

getting them in color wouldn't be a problem for a tattoo artist as long as you color in your drawing when you go in to get inked.  otherwise you're leaving it up to his imagination.

also, for the record, i have an eagles head tattooed on my calf and while i don't hate it or regret it, at the same time, i still think it was kind of dumb.  probably because my life doesn't revolve around the eagles the same as it did 10 years ago when i got it. 

and i still hate them for sucking ass last week.
