Kick him out, keep anything he has there. Change your locks.

Done and done.

And my aunt said she is going to sell his car (she has the title and the car) and give me some money from that.

But I still want the little farg to pay. Even his own mother said he might need a stint in the pokey.

He'll probably wind up there soon enough. A good family shunning might actually get him to straighten up though.

I don't think he cares. He gave me the "woe is me" speech about how everyone hates him. I told him to shut his mouth. No one hates him (well, I do now) because if they did they wouldn't keep trying to help the putz out. He's a lazy bum who doesn't want to work although he has a job now. I thought about calling his boss and telling him he has a thief working for him.

I abosolutely hate thieves. I've had my car broken into several times when I lived in TX and my roomates had stuff stolen from our house by a junkie neighbor.

assuming he's smaller than you (actually, everyone is smaller than you), I'd pull the hold-him-over-the-balcony-upside-down-treatment until he confesses, and promises to replace everything!
If that doesn't do it, take him to your place of work and let him be the "new girl" in cell block D.

He'd definitley be abused in jail. He's a smaller dude who would be whupped on.

Good call on not beating his ass.  Unfortunately, the world has changed since we were kids and that kind of thing now lands you in jail, no matter how justified it was, or how little real damage you did.

Good on you for kicking him out and changing the locks.  Make sure all the windows are locked as well as all the doors.  Tell your grandfather's neighbors that the kid is not welcome at the house, and should they see him they are to call you/the cops.

He's probably a drug addict.  Try to find his stash.  If you do, sell it at work.  Prisoners like drugs.  You'll get your money back that way.  Or send it to me for free, and I'll stop calling you a homer.

Yeah, I had to cool down big time on Saturday because I was close to pummeling him. But spending 4 hours in a jail cell when I was 21 and the after effects of paying for my idiocy caused me to stop and think. Also - this would've been domestic violence. If you have one of those charges hanging around your neck you're screwed for life. Not able to work in law enforcement, no carrying weapons, etc.

The good thing is that we know all of the neighbors around here. They've all been here (most of 'em, anyway) since the 1960's. So getting the word out won't be hard - they all know him.

Agreed. I even told everyone that I know he smokes and that is why he steals - to support his habit. He had no job for so long he had to make money somehow. I also went to the local EB store to see if he sold my stuff there. I have to wait to talk to the manager tomorrow. There aren't a lot of pawn shops around here. None that I know of honestly - so if he sold it to a store it most likely was there.

I also told him that if he is arrested if they piss him (which I will make sure happens) he can be charged for being hot. That's bullshtein but he doesn't know it and his eyes lit up when I said it. Since it's an amount over 500 it is considered Grand Theft and carries some weight as far as a sentence goes.

He can't spend the night in baby booking? What a little bitch.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Would it be legal if someone blind folded him or pulled something over his head and then landing a mega-elbow on his eye socket, knocking him out. What would be the liability be if he didn't know who did it?

If he doesn't take your threats to heart, sounds like the kid is majorly farged up. I'd say look, come clean or your going to jail and I know what jail is like and your ass will be raped. If he still denies it, hand that farger in. Common sense would say come clean, but at this point it doesn't sound like he has any, so good luck.  There is only so much you can do for people, family or not.

That's the thing - he still straight up denies it. My aunt talked to him, and she shouldn't be dealing with this because she has had heart trouble, and he says he didn't do it and that everyone hates him. She told him he was an idiot and that there was only two of us with a key and I wasn't home so how did he expect to get away with it. Then she asked him if he didn't do it did he know who did and he says "maybe". So maybe he let one of his pothead buddies in with him and they did it. He's still liable and then I'd send two of 'em to the clink.

The fact that he's family is why I didn't call the police right away. I tried to give him an out and a way to correct the problem. But he still denies it. We got into it last night and he said "Go ahead and call the cops. What are they going to do? I'll deny it and then its your word against mine".

I spoke to my friend the cop and he said that the probable cause should be enough to get past the "he said/he said" stuff.

I'm going to talk to my aunt later today and see whats up - maybe she talked to him today. If I don't hear anything that I want to hear by Friday I call the police and he has a theft arrest on his record.

if he doesn't give in, just rape him yourself and save the hassle of going to court.
