David Akers and Dhani Jones have regular cry-dates where they get together, drink wine, talk about their feelings, cry and hold each other.

I'd love to see Akers vs. Dhani.  #2 would kick the shtein out of that dancing queen, and have plenty enough left to lay you out, Jerk.

Hmmm - unfortunate, but typical of this board - that the person who would dignify the response of this creep calling me "bitch" is a female herself (or at least advertised as such).  I guess you have exempt status in these creep chauvinists' eyes - you're sooo lucky.   

While I'm busy acknowledging vermin (meaning Diomedes - somehow I still consider Phillygirl a notch or two above "vermin" despite her "shortcomings"...such as her "mysterious" gymnastics career) - I am doing my own research - when you look at it from the perspective of someone who actually has a life and thoughts outside of the internet and this damn board.  Asking a question on a messageboard (a pest-infested messageboard - but something of a messageboard nonetheless) IS research, but I can see how it might not be to you since you have the perspective of a rat crawling around on this board 24/7.  Pass the poison. 

Oh, and it's telling that "bitch" is the only "curse word" that is spelled right on this God-forsaking board, isn't it?   

Btw, to set the record straight - Hugh Douglas is a narrow-minded &%$#(@.  So first Donovan is not a "real" leader because he's not some loud street-thug who gets in people's faces, and now Dhani is unlikable because he "tries too hard to be different".  Umm, Hugh - in this world where it is so easy to get sucked into being some standard prototype just to "fit in" and get approval - someone does, techincally-speaking, have to "try hard" just to find their own identity and to be their own person.  It is a fight to be true to yourself and to get in touch with the real you outside the pressures and expectations of society.  Especially in a world full of people who think the only way a black person is supposed to be is some prototype out of The Source or Vibe magazines.  (and no, it's not the necessarily the white man who is expecting us to conform to these stereotypes, either - it's folks like you.)

He was with the Panthers in camp.  He credits John Kasay with being one of his good friends and best mentors.

I think he's only spent time with the Panthers and skins before joining the Eagles.

I read this on ESPN Insider (not posting complete article here) on the Eagles' needs:

Strongside linebacker: Philadelphia did well to re-sign Shawn Barber. Although Barber has sustained two season-ending knee injuries and there are concerns about his ability to stay healthy, he is a leader on the field and knows this scheme. Philadelphia also has an insurance policy in Matt McCoy. The raw McCoy has the talent to push Barber for playing time if his technique progresses. However, neither is a good fit for the strong side because they have problems anchoring against the run. That's a concern because Dhani Jones has been inconsistent and he isn't making many big plays. Mark Simoneau provides some depth, but he too struggles when teams run at him. The Eagles need a strongside linebacker who has a nose for the ball, the power to control the point of attack and the burst to prevent backs from turning the corner.
