I based my supposition on the following idiotic statement on your part:

Quote...however if the eagles need rod hood to win they are in more trouble than any of us even think

Defenses in today's game need three quality cornerbacks to be dominant.  Brown, Sheppard & Rod are all quality cornerbacks, so of course they'd need a third cornerback to be successful.

My preference of Hood over Lito was based on their performances last year.  Are you seriously suggesting that Lito had a better year performance-wise than Rod Hood?  Because if you are, you just went from mildly amusing to hopelessly retarded.

lets switch rolls....rodney at starting cornerback and lito as a #3

yikes!!

wed blink and ole rod be all up in the cfl

hes a nice player and i like him as a 3rd corner...but dont ever again say hes better than lito

I never said he was better.  I said he played better.

Quit being a recalcitrant dullard, IGY.

Seriously, your act, much like your taste in music, broads, and basketball heroes is worn the farg out.

If it came down to a choice between Hood and Sheppard, I take Hood and I don't look back

So?

The BIGSTUD

I'd rather have Hood starting back there. He's a better cover corner than Lito. He doesn't have the athleticism, but he doesn't bite on moves as much as Lito and doesn't get burnt as much as Lito.

He's also 3rd on the depth chart at corner. Make him the starter for the season and see how he does. Tito has his flaws but he's a much better corner than Hood.

Greg Lewis sure looked like he could be a starter 2 years ago when he was playing as the 3rd WR. He was forced into the starters role and looked awful.

Rome

Greg Lewis never looked like he could be a full-time starter in the NFL.

Not once.

Comparing Rod Hood & Greg Lewis is absurd, SD.  Stop it.

After his playoff and SB performance you didn't think he was ready for a bigger role in this offense?

And I think it's a good analogy, both are good #3 but clearly not as good as the starters in front of them.

SunMo

i'm sure Rome was saying the same thing after the 04 season, it was so totally obvious that Hood >>>>Lito
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

General_Failure

Hood did play better than Tito, but right now I don't want to count on either one of them as a starter.

The man. The myth. The legend.

I thought he was ready to be the #3 receiver.  Nothing more, nothing less.  I never expected T.O. to melt down nor did I expect Pinky to blow a tire out, so why would I have expected Greg Lewis to be the answer to anyone's prayers?

As for Lito & Hood, I'd rather have Hood starting than Lito.  Lito played like shtein last year.  He spent more time watching receiver fly past him than he did actually making plays.  If his performance last season is indicative of what he has in store for us next year, you're damn right I'd rather see Hood in there.  At least he didn't drop his pants like a bitch every five seconds like Lito did.

IMO, Lito wasn't right all year.  Whether his performance was injury-related or he was still upset about his cousin getting capped or whatever, the bottom line is, he sucked ass in 2005.  Hood played better, bro, so yeah... based on that, I'd rather have Hood starting right now.  Hood showed me a lot out there.  He played with confidence, grit and guts.  I'll take those attributes any day in a football player.
