Mom jokes are gay.

Wasn't really a your mom joke. More of a concretefield-message-board-filter, which is also gay.

Wait, gay jokes are gay! We're all F'ed.

the appropriate response was, "Your mom is gay"
Your mom goes to college.

By the way, it is a legit question.

Do the Vikings have to interview a black canidate by rule?

yes.   I think the only way you dont have to interview a minority candidate is if you promote someone within the organization to the head coach position.  ala an offensive coordinator etc.

Mad-Lad

the vikings already interviewed a minority candidate (Ted Cottrell)

So if the rumors are correct, and they are sold on Childress, they still have to bring in a token nterview. That's counterproductive, don't you think?

Falcons fire quarterbacks coach
Jan. 4, 2006
CBS SportsLine.com wire reports

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick will have a new position coach in 2006 after Mike Johnson was fired Wednesday.

"I have decided not to extend Mike Johnson's contract," coach Jim Mora said. "Mike has worked hard as our quarterbacks coach for the last two seasons and we wish him the very best in the future."

Among Johnson's possible successors could be third-string quarterback Ty Detmer, a 14-year NFL veteran who may retire. Detmer, who won the 1990 Heisman Trophy at Brigham Young, hasn't taken a snap since 2001. Mora declined to comment on Detmer's playing status.

Johnson, 38, coached the Atlanta receivers in 2002 before taking over quarterbacks the following season. Mora also announced that strength and conditioning coaches Al Miller and Rocky Colburn won't return.

Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Goodbye, Brad.

Hello, Marty. :puke

I'll repeat what I've said now for the past 2 years....exactly WHAT did Childress do anyway? I never understood why so many teams were interested in him when its clear as day that Reid is the actual OC and calls the plays.

You think Marty will do anything more than that? no. And I don't think Marty will even be given the title of OC.

What PG said.

No, we'll get Sherman to be the OC here and have another couple of years of poor suggestions coming from the assistants.

What did Childress do? Enough to make other franchises think he was good enough to coach their teams.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Nope.

Also, it doesn't appear Sherman is interested in replacing Childress in Philadelphia, where he would be reunited with close friend Andy Reid. Sherman told WTMJ radio Thursday that he was interested in returning to football only as a head coach. The Eagles are expected to interview Kansas City offensive coordinator Al Saunders this weekend

Additionally, Childress might poach some coaches from the Eagles. I know there was a hot rumor on the EMB that Castillo and Harbaugh were going with him, possibly Pat Shurmur as well. If that's the case, they may move Marty to QBs coach and bring in Saunders as OC. Plus, they'd then have to find a new line coach and STs coach.

bye.

hopefully they'll hire someone that can

a. make reid understand game management. (timeouts, getting plays in, two minute drill.. etc).
b. make reid understand the meaning of keeping a defense off balance.  (ex. no play action with parry in the back field on 3rd and 20).
c. make reid understand what a running game is.
