In the meantime, it appears that Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brad Childress did not make his scheduled interview with the Packers because he was still in Minnesota where the Vikings were apparently making a strong push to hire him. A source close to the Eagles' coaching staff said late Wednesday night that he was told Childress had not yet left Minneapolis and hadn't made his scheduled interview with the Packers.

Childress, 49, interviewed with the Vikings Tuesday and was scheduled to meet with Thompson Wednesday.
