QuoteGreen Bay will move swiftly to begin interviewing candidates to replace him including Eagles offensive coordinator Brad Childress and former Packers' first-round pick and Giants defensive coordinator Tim Lewis.

my cousin graduated HS with Tim Lewis and played in the same defensive backfield as him on their HS team

I bet Childress gets it.

I really don't care if he leaves though. What worries me is if Morningwood gets the OC job. But if there really is friction between the FO & Marty maybe he'll be gone too.

I bet the job goes to Childress too.  Looks like it's time to start up the ol' Mariucci bandwagon, huh?

That'll happen.  ::)

Not that I am completely opposed to Reid having some responsibility taken away, but there is no way he gives up the HC job and sticks around.

The BIGSTUD

I said in the other topic that if Childress leaves I think Mariucci is our new offensive coordinator.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

QB Eagles

I expect Mariucci to be a head coach somewhere next year.

no one wants the oc positon with the birds...its strictly a figurehead spot...the oc in philly doesnt do ish...

thats why i dont understand why anyone would want childress...to me his resume is at best incomplete and at worst non existent

As QBs coach from 1999-2001, he was responsible for McNabb's development. Just because he doesn't call the plays doesn't mean he has no input or doesn't design certain plays. Besides that, when looking for a head coach, you're looking for a manager, how he handles players, how organized he is, does he have a plan for the future of the franchise, how authoritative he is........ as I said in another thread, 1 bad year doesn't wipe out 5 seasons of accomplishment.

childress has done absolutely nothing to warrant anyone hiring him as a head coach...you may give him a shot as an oc...but a head coach?...no way not at this point...let him at least prove himself in running his own offense first
