I honestly don't care about the NFL playoffs anymore. The Skins lost, and the Pats lost. But its more important that they Skins lost.

The best part about it is that this is it for the Skins. This lucky playoff berth was their shot and it's over now. Back to the NFC East basement again next year. They are the biggest frauds.

Who Else Cried?

I balled tonight. I was able to take with my girlfriend until late night. But then I broke down like a little boy and cried in front of her. I don't care. Who else is with me?

Call me a Traitter, but I'll be damned if I didn't find myself rooting for the taterskins in the postseason. I don't know if its fantasy football softening me up a bit, or that I was the first one in North America to call for the return of Joe Gibbs to coaching in the NFL, but I was pullin for them in the same sort of sick way that  Lynette was happy for Paula when Richard Gere swept her off the factory floor in his dress whites, even though her guy swallowed the ring and hung himself, just like the Eagles ....

Hey, I give the Skins props for going on the road against a quality QB like Chris Simms and getting their first playoff win since I graduated high school.  Way to go for them.  MAD props.  Woooo hoooooooo.

ES has been a gold mine so far today. Enjoyment for me.

We have the crying thread, people blasting Gibbs only to be beaten down by the Gibbs lovers, saying trading Champ was dumb because Portis sucks and other topics.

They put up 10 points after getting 3 turnovers. And then knocked the league MVP out of the game and they still lost.

ill say it again if they get a qb they are gonna be for real...luckily they are in a very tricky situation...they are a mad race for a sb before gibbs retires...and they have a sick dog in brunnell who is clearly done but he is a born again buddy of the zealot coach..so how does he not get the job...

then you have the young number one pick who clearly will not be ready for at least a couple more years

i guess they could go in the middle and start (and stick with) ramsey...but the way theyve played with his head who knows if hell ever be right

i have a feeling they are going to be in this qb quagmire...yeah i said quagmire bite me....for about three years and when they finally see the light at the end of tunnel it will be time for the gawd gibbs to retire

While I agree with your assessment on the QB situation, I think they have problems that are just as bad as that. Like I said yesterday - they need a pass rusher or two. They also need to get an offensive guru in there.

Gibbs' offense is terrible. And he's a terrible playcaller. Reid is ripped for his playcalling but Gibbs deserves heat too. He redefined dink and dunk, man. Even if he had a potent QB he'd still be running that junk that he does.

They'll have some cap decisions to make and they don't believe in the draft. And even if they did believe in the draft they have no #1.

with a horrible qb they were in the top 5 in every offfensive category in the conference...they have probowlers at every skill position...if they get a good qb in the middle of all that imagine what they will do

yes they need some edge rushers...but compare their d without a pass rush to the eagles d without a pass rush...taterskins d is a top ten unit in the nfl without that...i think their bigger problem on d is the cornerbacks...springs is done and if rogers doesnt develop they are in trouble there...but defense is the least of their problems...it will be more than good enough to get to the sb

bottom line is every team in the nfl has spots theat could use imporvement...in my opinion the taterskins have fewer than most...IF they get a qb

Good point about the CBs. They have nothing at CB other than Springs and hope for Rogers.

We'll see though. I just don't see it as much as you do. I think there was a lot of smoke and mirrors there.
