and the new star wars game... that's about it...

Are you talking about Force Unleashed 2? With the current systems it's a crying shame they haven't made some more decent Star Wars games. Seems like the last generation consoles had some great ones.

Yeah... I loved the first one, and loved some of the other Star War games for other consoles/PC.

The game looks pretty good, and I gotta admit that commercial was pretty cool.

The BIGSTUD

I'll be getting Fallout tomorrow. Also for some reason Gran Turismo 5 got pushed back again and the release date is unknown. Sometime around the holiday season, which probably means late January.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood looks good. That will probably be the last game I get before 2011.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

that looks pretty sweet. try it?
Finally tried getting on again, servers were full Saturday.  It's ok, controls took a bit to get control of.  I went 3-12 to start, but moved up pretty quick.  Lots of crazy weaponry, and the game kind of reminds me of a much better graphics and controls version of Battlefield 1942(the game you download).  Worth playing Beta, though i wouldnt spend money on the game when it comes out

I picked up the first one on sale for $9, and I'd heard mixed things about it. I was pleasantly surprised, though. I thought it was a very solid game with a good story. The second one looks even better...but still not good enough that I'm going to run out and spend $60 on it. I'll definitely play it at some point, though.

The first one started out incredible, especially getting to play as Vader, killing Wookies, and the back story with Starkiller when he was a boy. From there it got a little boring. I enjoyed it, but the ending got a little ridiculous. Keeping within the parameters of the Force I find it hard to believe there was a Jedi that powerful. Defeating Vader is one thing, but defeating Vader then the Emperor is another. The story in this one is Starkiller is cloned on Kamino, I have a problem with that story too because why wouldn't the Emperor/Vader just clone a bunch of loyal dark Jedi's (don't let them become Siths) and have them take over the galaxy. The cloning thing just seems like a cop out. That being said unless the reviews are off the charts I won't spend 60 bones on it, Fable 3 on the other hand will be a day one buy.

How is Fable.... I've never gotten into it, but I've heard good things... is it easy to get into if I missed the first two?

Not at all, the first one was better than the second one but it's an easy game to figure out.

General_Failure

I should know better than to try playing games made by Obsidian, I really should. Fallout: New Vegas is a hot mess. Crashing, glitches, and major framerate issues. The first patch will probably fix some of these things, but damn. These guys have still not finished making one friggin' game since they opened up.

Did you try the demo yet? I gave it a shot last night. It looks good, but feels almost exactly like the first one in too many ways. It was a little repetitive even in the short demo. I'm sure I'll still play it at some point...but I was hoping for more of a refresh.

SD

Not yet but I read the review in Game Informer and it only rated a 7.75 out of 10. They said it was like the first one with a worse story. They improved on some things but not others. Overall I thought the first one was decent, so I'll probably wait until next year to get this on the cheap.

So I downloaded it tonight and gave it a try. Already like it a lot more than the first, the controls are a lot smoother, enemy lock on is easier, the levels are smoother and not so grainy. Probably won't buy it right away, but it's on my list.

I finally got Fallout: New Vegas to work. So far I have run across a cowboy robot, an alcoholic zombie dominatrix, a sex bot, a gang of old ladies, and cannibals in formal wear. The sex bot tried to rape me.
