I nagged it so much, bitched at it so much, it just finally gave in....

;D

MURP can attest to that. ;)

But seriously, I created a new profile and it reset all of the settings to the beginning.

So basically you touched something to screw it up, but you don't know what.

People who play with settings and don't know what they're doing, I'm sure. :)

FYI...I got a critical update notice tonight so for those who didn't get a prompt, there was a software update for Firefox.

shtein, I am getting that "Quality control feedback" or whatever thing again and it crashes Firefox every time. I remember I had this problem when I first got Firefox but not since. Anyone else having this problem and anyone have any idea how to get rid of it?

Wasn't firefox a movie with Clint Eastwood stealing a stealth fighther from Russia? I liked that movie...it's been a while since I've seen it!

it certainly was...and yes it is a great movie
It was an even better book...

Did you try creating a new profile again?

I've been crashing when I try to view windows media files in the browser since 1.0.7.

What are you doing when it crashes? Firefox annoys the hell out of me, and I've had a lot of trouble with it, but pretty much managed to fix everything.

First thing you should always do is to save your bookmarks. Bookmarks - manage bookmarks - file - export.

Then do a clean uninstall and reinstall it. If that doesn't work then you can try other stuff, but try that first.

ARGH!

So I turn on my computer today and start up firefox. The browser comes up like its been minimized to half the screen. None of my bookmarks are there either. I went on to the Firefox support forums and read how to get my bookmarks back, but I can't figure out what happened to the screen? It keeps coming up as minimized to half the screen.

Anyone have this happen to them? :-\
