I'd just like to thank this piece of shtein browser for upgrading and rewriting my profile for me without my permission.

I have now lost ALL of my bookmarks and they can't be recovered the "firefox" way either. :boo

I don't know WTF is going on with your computer, but I've never seen anyone have as much trouble with Firefox as you.  What plug-ins are you running?

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday as well.  Upgraded to Firefox 2.0 and it deleted all of my bookmarks.

I didn't have a problem when I upgraded.

I don't understand why all the bitching about Firefox.  If you don't like it, use another browser.

People need to get in the habbit of backing things up.   At some point if you have a computer long enough things will go wrong.   Back up your important files, back up pictures, music, bookmarks, whatever.   Hard drives crash, browswers go faulty, computers die.   They are like any other peice of equipment, but are even more prone to problems.     

In firefox go to bookmarks - manage bookmarks.  Then go to file - export.    you can save your bookmarks easily that way so if anything happens they are available to install again.
