YA yes, but not exactly gender specific. Twilight is YA for girls, this is just YA with a girl as the protagonist.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

I'm slow, YA is young adults? Yellow adolescents? Asians?

isnt hunger games based on YA novels for females

would a guy ever go to that movie unless his female significant other or his daughter wanted to see it?

I thought the first one was pretty meh.  Decent but not great.  I liked this one a lot.  Not sure it's your style of movie though.  Definitely not YA in the way you're probably thinking.  The movie was fairly dark actually.

i saw the first one and while i didnt think it was horrific or anything i just cant imagine any adult male (really any male) going to a theater to see it without the pull of their teenage daughter or wifey who maybe read the books

phillies will be under 500 this year...book it

If the action happens earlier than 90 minutes into the second one, it's already better than the first

Identity Thief - Awful.  McCarthy is usually funny but this movie sucked

Man of Steel - Nice special effects but it was 2 and a half hours for an average story.  Hopefully the sequel's much better

i saw dallas buyers club last night

it was pretty decent. MM and jared leto were very good. it was also very aidsy, much more so than i anticipated. 3.5/5

Just saw the 1st one a few weeks ago and this is more or less my feeling on it too.  The movie was ok but after watching it I can't say I felt the least bit compelled to see the sequel.

i coincidentally got dragged to hunger games tonight by the lady friend...meh. thought it was pretty much like the first. entertaining enough but nothing special. i guess one good thing is that normally some movies drag out too long and i know that this one probably goes by the books but i could have used another hour to be satisfied. just felt like an inappropriate time to set up the next one.
