MMH

True, but when he does that one thing (like in Kick-Ass) he's fine.  Vaughn is the same way.

Remember that time he did an impersonation of Elvis in a movie?

Awesome.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Diomedes

True Grit was alright.

The theater I saw it in didn't show any commercials or previews.  Lights, movie.  On time.

Awesome.

Snake Plisskin >>>>>>>>>>> anything Cage has ever done.  And Russell was awful as Presley, incidentally.

the other guys - simply put one of the dumbest least funny movies ever made....you cant even explain how dumb the jokes were...95% of them uncomfortably flopped and the other 5% were just not funny at all...god it was horrible

0/10

winters bone - this is how movies are supposed to be made...about a 17 year old girl who because of her meth cooking convict father has to care for her two young siblings and invalid mother...the story revolves around her having to find her father who put up their house and property against his bond and then skips out...if she doesnt find him they lose everything...but the plot is secondary to what i believe the movie is really about...and that is life in the backwoods of the ozarks in rural arkansas...it basically plays as a documentary about the life these people live...the kids dont go to school...have no friends...essentially dont leave their property...they are taught how to shoot rifles at age 8 and how to hunt and skin squirrel for food...yet other than the enviroment they were raised in they are for the most part normal everyday people...this is not deliverance (altho sometimes you feel like they are a lost chromosome away from there)...anyway the movie feels so real...and like tru grit theres another masterful lead performance by a young female...it wont happen but it would be incredible if jennifer lawrence and hailee steinfeld both got best actress nods...to me a movie hero is the girl in this film...not luke skywalker or that douche in 300..this picture goes right in the hopper with social network and true grit for movie of the year
