Wasnt a big Machete fan.  Maybe I was expecting too much but it seemed like a poor mans piranha 3d.  And yes I did just type that.

I was going to see Machete, but then I saw
this. I'm pretty sure I don't have to see it now.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Pretty much how I feel.   I didnt dislike Machete, I was just indifferent to it.

Machete was so much better than piranha. Not even close.

true utley - farging fantastic...right up there with the social network for movie of the year...im not a big western fan but other than tombstone its easily the best western ive ever seen...the dialogue is so good...so many sneaky funny lines...the way the coens write screenplays and the verbiage they use is so brilliant...the cinematography is out of this worls as well...its just so well put together...probably because the coens are so distinctive but it reminded me of a western no country for old men...other than scorcese who has half a dozen 1-2 punches and pulp fiction/resovior dogs i cant think of a better two films by one maker than true utley and no country...acting nods should go to bridges (incredible) damon (a notch below) and hailee steinfeld who is out of this world and holds her own and even bests two giants like bridges and damon...theres an early scene int he movie btwn her and damon which is unbelievable...only compliant and its a minor one is i thought the ending could have been a little better...it seemed kinda rushed and lacked the emotion feeling i was hoping for

9/10

added bonus was the sound going off about 15 minutes into the movie and staying off till someone had to go out and inform the theater...they then started it over from the last preview...people again went out and told them to fast forward to where the sound intially went off...which they did...for our troubles they handed out two free movie passes to each person (i was alone and got two so couples got four)...thought that was really cool and ill be using one of them tonight for 'the fighter'....i wanna see if bale can top any of the performances in this movie...hes supposed to be off the meter in it

Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Bale is awesome in the fighter.  I thought it was solid but not necessarily best picture worthy.

Yes, I just looked it up.

Boooooo. I probably won't watch it then.

Have we completely exhausted all ideas for movies? Jesus Christ. Rehashed bullshtein. I don't care if its better than the original. Create something new.

farg. Is it so farging hard? This guarantees that in a generation or so....there is going to be a remake of Lord Of The Rings, Star Wars, Twighlight, etc.

Unless they add a serious amount of nudity, it's gonna suck. Movies suck. The word suck, sucks. Suck me beautifuls.

wait you havent even seen the original and you are upset theres a remake?

certainly there are some horrid decisions on remakes but as far as being an original idea how is a remake any different than adapting a book into a movie

yeah i only saw a quick view of a commercial on the new one and figured it was a remake just wanted to double check. the original is a classic IMO and from the sounds of it the remake seems like it was done right.

may actually drag my lazy ass to theatre for this one.

I had typed out a long support to counter your thought...but in typing I realized that I agree and disagree about a remake not being so different from adapting a book into a movie.  :)
