"For all the civic slurs, for all the unsavory things said of the Philadelphia fans, also say this: They could teach loyalty to a dog. Their capacity for pain is without limit." -Bill Lyons

after.life: The movie begins with Christina Ricci getting drilled by the "I'm a mac" guy and then spends 80% of the movie either naked or in a red silk nightie.  Also, there was a story.

Alice In Wonderland - whole movie dragged because the story just isn't there although they somehow do a decent job of tying it up in the end. Probably would have been a better idea to re-do the original rather than going with a sequel.

I had no idea going in that it was a sequel, so I was expecting a some what similar story line to the original, which confused the crap out of me for the first 20 or 30 minutes.  But yeah, it did pretty much drag on and I had no idea where the thing was going until everything got tied in at the end.  And even then, I was still disappointed.

I've tried really hard to remain a Tim Burton fan but the more movies he makes, the less interested I am.

His movies are hit or miss with me.

Burton's movies seem to be better when they are original stories. His adaptations are pretty blah.

He didn't do From Hell, that was just Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp/Tim Burton movies: Sleepy Hallow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Ed Wood, Alice in Wonderland, Sweeney Todd, Edward Scissorhands

Sgt PSN

Not to mention that I saw Mars Attacks when it came out and thought it was awful.  I'd imagine it still is.  Maybe even worse.

rjs246

Planet of the Apes and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were just atrocious.

Sleepy Hollow was meh, mostly not good. I haven't seen Alice in Wonderland but don't really care to.

I did enjoy Sweeney Todd, by and large. Loved Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice and Mars Attacks. Seriously Mars Attacks is a farging classic of intentionally, hilariously bad movie-making. Batman is Batman. Still enjoy it but not nearly as much as when it first came out.
