Anyone seen a good movie lately?

Oh it gets darker? I couldn't tell from the wine bottle being repeatedly smashed into the hole where that guy's face used to be. That doesn't change the fact that the kid is an icehole that leaves me sympathetic to the villain.

Saw a few movies from On Demand:

Law Abiding Citizen: It was okay. Generally, Jaime Foxx annoys me. The movie was okay, but the end sucked. I was glad to be playing video games while I watched it.

The Invention of Lying: Meh. Wasn't bad, but certainly not as good as it could have been. I think that Jennifer Garner was miscast, for the most part. I just don't think she's all that hot. Actually, I don't think she's hot at all. Cute, maybe. And the movie went a little heavy on the religious stuff, which bogged it down.

Gran Torino: Good movie. Glad I saw it, but it was a little overrated. The acting wasn't all that great, and they telegraphed the ending too strongly. Still worth seeing.

Zombieland: Not much to dislike, and exactly what I expected. The Bill Murry stuff was pretty funny.

the acting in Gran Torino did suck.  You know why?  Because Eastwood wanted actual Hmong actors, of whom there are precious few worth attention.
