I agree, Rome.  I think I'm going to have to make an effort to see it again.  I feel like I missed a lot.

I haven't seen 'it' yet but I always find it funny when a movie like this comes out and you nerds argue about it. Nerds.

ice grillin you

thing is this time there isnt anything to argue about...for a nerd movie it was pretty straight forward....or maybe thats your point that nerds try to over analyze and make the movie "deep"...best line of all the posts tho was mussa telling people they dont "get it"
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

Your really going to argue that some people won't get the movie? I think enough of us here have proven that we don't in some aspects and have repeated that watching it again will help answer some questions. And will you just give it up already. Jesus christ you can't be wrong and just accept it for once!

You'd have to be imbecilic not to understand the premise.  The movie is dense and there's a lot more going on than in any random summer action flick, though.  There were elements of the movie in terms of visuals that I've never seen before and that alone makes it worth several viewings.

MMH

The premise was easy enough to follow.  It's the "easter eggs" I'm talking about.  Like watching The Sixth Sense a second time to look for the clues regarding Bruce Willis.

I think that Inception is a lot more subtle than Memento was.  And there is a lot more little shtein to catch.

But if you found the storyline extremely linear, that is definitely going to lower you interest for repeat viewing.

The BIGSTUD

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo:

Pretty good. Thrilling and suspenseful. Good acting for the most part, especially the girl Lisabeth. Also one of the most brutal rape scenes you'll see. But solid movie all around. I wouldn't say great, but better than the far majority of murder mystery thrillers.

Girl with a Pearl Earring:

Decent movie, but not great. If you are a shallow "bro" you probably won't like the movie. Individuals of the world who are interested in art and/or life in the 1600s may find it interesting. But even with all that and an excellent score, the movie was still lacking in some areas. It felt rushed overall and some parts of the movie were dull and left unexplained.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Rome

Speaking of easter eggs in Inception, did anyone else catch the nod to the original Batman series Nolan put in when DiCaprio was walking up the side of the building?    I laughed out loud when I saw it.

I saw Jennifer's Body and didn't hate it. In fact I mostly enjoyed it. Not a horror movie at all and once I realized that it was easier to enjoy as a tongue in cheek look at teenaged life. Megan Fox and Amanda Seifried making out was rather, um, well, yeah.

fo rilla?

me and my girl watched that the other night and couldnt believe how bad it was

the writing was just pathetic....diablo cody will go down as one of the biggest one hit wonders ever....she tried the same formula that was so successful in juno and failed big time...it was painful...particularly the lines in the pool scene at the end

in the end it was all worth it tho since it allowed you to watch fox for two hours

jennifers body - 2/10

I don't agree, but that's not a shock to anyone. I didn't think the dialog was good and the story was goofy, but I didn't go into it expecting a masterpiece. I thought it was fun for a movie exclusively geared towards teenaged outcasts and Megan Fox fans.

Oh, and I saw An Education. Very good, very well written and acted. Sort of boring and adult and who cares about these people, but really really good.
