Burn After Reading is worth watching just for Brad Pitts character. But I'd go for a movie that's watchable for the movie itself, not just a character.

i didn't ask which movie had a great character you farging dumpster fire.  get back in your hole and don't come out until you have a movie suggestion for me.

believe it or not, there was actually no intended malice behind that post.  i'm going to try to be nice to munson from now on with the hopes that he'll eventually stop being so stupid.  so basically, anything i say to him from here on out that could be construed as hateful, insulting or just flat out mean, is really just me giving him a great big cyber hug.

Let me further that response by saying I have not seen any of those other movies and don't plan to.  But I laughed my ass off at Brad Pitt in Burn After Reading.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

if it means anything i refuse to watch valkyrie because its a movie about germans killing hitler where every character speaks english in a german accent and tom cruise speaks like tom cruise.

based on that what more do you need to know. ps they dont kill hitler.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

district 9 - Great action sci-fi movie. Enjoyable as long as you don't expect to be wowed by 'the message'.
running with scissors - A monumental let down.
valkyrie - No idea. Tom Cruise as an anti-Nazi German war hero? How about you just watch Inglorious Basterds.
frost nixon - Very good. IGY style slow adult drama based on real life events!  IGY!
burn after reading - As a massive Coen brothers fan I found very little to like about this movie. It was poo diddly.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Watched Factotum, small movie with Matt Dillion as Charles Bukowski and Lily Tomlin and Marissa Tomei as two of his good time girls. I watched this because I have this weird obsession with Bukowski, I find his novels and his movies totally boring, but I still watch or read almost everything that he comes out with. He never talks about anything, but he does it with style.
Anyway, this movie was pretty boring as well, he basically bums around LA and is a bum for 90 minutes. Marissa Tomei takes her top off (of course) and Lily Tomlin does not (thank god). Dillon's Bukowski is much more toned-down and therefore less annoying than Mickey Rourke's, but less interesting.
I would skip it unless you are also obsessed with Bukowski and want to watch a life-long drunk get drunk and not say anything.

Finally got around to finishing reading "Havana Nocturne", and that allowed me to watch "Che".  Great stuff, slow going at times, and nearly almost all in spanish which is how this movie should have been shot.  They left out a lot of stuff as far as Che's assasination squads, but did a great job in a 2 part movie, the first being the overtaking of Cuba, the second being Bolivia and Che's downfall.  The skipped over Congo, but all in all definitely a great performance by Benicio del Toro as Che.
