Excellent. Best sci-fi movie in forever.
Marge: I have someone who can help you!
Homer: Is it BATMAN!!??
Marge: No hes a scientist
Homer: Batman is a scientist.
Marge: Its not BATMAN!

I just saw it this afternoon, solid movie.  Kind of seemed like Blackhawk Down meets Independence Day.  Definitely worth seeing.

For all of you zombie fans the trailer for Zombieland with Woody Harrelson looked pretty good.

The International - pretty good flick, Clive Owen was good and the story was interesting

Doubt - good performances by Adams and Hoffman, Streep was a little over the stop, but the major scene between Hoffman and Streep was phenomenal.  Overall, it was slow and disjointed, basically just some good performances, but not a good overall movie.

The Express - liked this more than I thought I would.  Never really heard of Ernie Davis until this movie and it's a good story.

district 9 was quite a good movie.  the first 20 mins are kind of hard to watch but after that it works itself out.

Seabiscuit36

I watched "When the Trumpets Fade" definitely a disappointment from what it was billed.  Acting was subpar, the overall camerawork/directing was no where near what SPR was.  Historically its very accurate, but it just wasn't anywhere as good as i was hoping.

"Donkey Punch"  great flick, basically a movie about the urban legend of the donkey punch, applied to a bunch of kids in the Mediterranean on a yacht.  Hot chicks, drugs, and blood makes this a must watch.  Good soundtrack if you like indie stuff, negatives are everyone is British.

Rome

I thought The International was boring other than the scene in the museum.  I love Naomi Watts too and would pretty much watch her reading the phone book for two hours but she was horrible in that movie.

hurt locker - excellently done...was actually more of a suspense than a war movie...real edge of your seat shtein and it showed the day by day mundane aspects of being in a war...at least i imagine it did...accurate or not it portrayed it in a much better way than the awful jarhead did

7.5/10

500 days of summer - just an outstanding romantic dramedy...its plays out of order with the start of each scene showing what day out of the 500 days they were together it is...contains none of the awful cliches you find so much in this genre...you know from the opening scene that they will not end up together and that makes the movie frustrating in a great way...its amazing how its so well done that even tho you know the ending you find yourself still rooting for gordon joseph levitts character to end up with the girl and you feel like even tho its against everything you know that it still might happen...btw he is such an great underrated actor

8.5/10

Levitt really is a great actor that no one talks about.  He's pretty much awesome in every movie he's in.

Watched State of Grace yesterday, a gangster movie from 1990. I dont know how I have never caught this one over the years, it has a pretty amazing cast:
Sean Penn
Ed Harris
Gary Oldman
John Turturro
and even has John C. Reilly as a bit player.
Sean Penn is an undercover cop who goes back to his old neighborhood of Hells kitchen to bust the Irish mob that he grew up with.
Very good movie, although I am not quite sure how to rate it. Gary Oldman was amazing as usual, sean penn was great, everyone was great, but I wasn't quite sold one the plot. Anyway, if you never saw it, well worth 2 hours.

Yeah that movie is pretty farging awful. The cast is amazing but the movie was made about 5 years before any of them learned how to act.
