I must be the only one who enjoyed con-air.  :paranoid

I enjoyed Con-Air.

But the fact that The Rock hasn't been mentioned yet makes me sad.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I made the mistake of walking into the end of the Rock when it came out and I never ever bothered seeing the whole movie. Everyone jocks it but based on the ending...it was meh.

End was alright....but overall good action, entertaining story line, and Sean Connery's accent. Can't get much better mindless action then that.

Nick Cage plays a great farg up, ala Leaving Las Vegas, Weatherman and Adaptation. His serious roles or action roles are just bad. Tragic pathetic characters he plays very well.

Just got "When Trumpets Fade" in the mail, i'm hoping for good things.  From what i've read, many people thought it was better than SPR.

Watched The French Connection last night. This is supposed to be a classic and Hackman was certainly a presence, but all of the characters came off as cliched, dated caricatures. It was good but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I expected to.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

No mention of 'Face-Off'?

As for current movies, what sick people are waking up and saying, "man......I really wanna see 'Julie & Julia' tonight?"

The man. The myth. The legend.

Women?

Obviously, but do they really think a movie about someone trying to make Julia Child's food is going to be hilarious?
