I'm watching a great documentary right now called Welcome To Death Row about the infamous rap label.

It's fairly awesome.

Yeah I'm sure there are people on here that share that sentiment.  I really enjoyed the books though so I go to see them in the theaters.  Some of the movies I like, others I don't.  This one was somewhere in between.

regardless of what you think of harry potter you have to be impressed with them having made what is it now six movies?....and all of them have basically received nothing worse than good reviews...and several of them have gotten great reviews
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

harry potter is one of those things that i think is great for kids because it doesn't dumb things down for them like most kid oriented movies do.  not to mention that it really seemed to get a lot of kids into reading, which is always a good thing.  at the same time though, i have absolutely no interest in it what so ever.  then again, i'm not a kid.

Never got the Lord of the Rings phenomenon either.  I hated the Tolkien books in junior high and therefore had no inclination whatsoever to see the movies.

Gay doesn't begin to describe the wizard/magic genre.

Eagles_Legendz

I love LOTR.  Maybe I'll just start calling you Romey with a lisp from now on.

hbionic

What I like about the magic/wizards genre is it encourages and helps develop kids and people's imaginations. The scary thing is that it many times sends people off the deep end and permanently turns them into nerds. Permanently.

With movie technology and special effects, it makes some stories really fun to watch, i.e., lord of the rings, harry potter. etc.

I feel that most people are closet harry potter fans...its cool to bash, but secretly I want to farg the shtein out of Emma Watson.
I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

I'm a Star Trek nerd so it's not as if I have room to talk.   And considering I've never actually seen the movies or read the books it's not like I have an informed opinion on the Potter phenomenon.

secretly?  she's smoking hot.  now all she needs to do is hire someone to film her posing around her hotel room naked like EA did and we'll be set.

Finally went back to finish watching Public Enemies tonight...

8/10

Good action, Depp was solid and Bale was ok as the G-Man Purvis.

"The Hangover" was pretty funny *yes, I saw it after everyone else has, but first chance to go*

Best part was easily the elevator scene photos in the closing credits.

although, there were some other hilarious scenes in the movie.

Rented "Defiance" good movie.  Good story line and acting.

Saw Crazy Love. Documentary about an anti-social lunatic who disfigures his money-grubbing girlfriend only to have her eventually get back together with him. farging whackos. Fascinating.

Ginger Snaps. A werewolf movie made for melodramatic teenaged girls. It was sort of a horror movie so I sort of enjoyed it on that level, but it was basically a made for tv movie.

Twilight. So awful. But I want to violate Kristen Stewart. I'm not really even sure why since I don't think she's all that gorgeous or anything. But yeah, she could get it.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

thank baby geezus.  i suffered through this piece of crap about 2 months ago with my g/f and thought i was the only person who hated it.  everyone else that i know that's seen it, loves it.

The BIGSTUD

I haven't heard anyone that liked the movie other than girls that have a crush on that one actor. Forget his name.
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Munson

They don't ahve a crush on the actor. THey have a crush on the farging book character. "OMG edward cullen is perfect".

Yeah, if some dude you didn't know showed up in your room to watch you sleep, I'm sure you'd find it romantic and not the least bit creepy.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
