Yeah none of that is actually even a little bit true at all, but it's interesting to know that that's how you think about things.

You don't like creative/different movies which caused me to:
1. Correctly assume that your taste is awful.
2. Wonder why you don't like creative movies. (Which you just conveniently answered for me.)

I do like creative/different movies which cause you to:
1. Incorrectly assume that my taste is awful.
2. Assume that I'm lying to myself and everyone else about what I actually enjoy.

These special glimpses into your brain sure are... um, interesting.

If 'all of the time' qualifies as 'at times' then yes, you are correct.

Your left-over high school bias against intelligence and 'being different' is very strange. You might want to talk to someone about that. Professionally.

yes, the dialog can be cheesy at times, but you do realize that's how it was supposed to be done, there was a point to that.

Other than Frank Miller being a really bad writer? This is the guy that wrote the line "I'm the goddamn Batman."

Ok so writing is what makes a good comic book? Like I said, most comics have cheesy dialog. Your not going to find many graphic novels or comics winning literary awards. If they changed it up from the original source then where is the value in that?

Watchmen is my all time fav comic/graphic novel movie, forgot

I don't believe that for one second because your definition of 'smart' is a moving target that never even remotely conforms to the normal definitions of 'smart'.

If someone does something different and you don't like it, then they aren't smart. Which means that the very definition of the word revolves around your tastes. Wrong.

not at all....it certainly doesnt mean they are dumb...it doesnt even mean they arent smart....what im saying is just because they did something different doesnt make them intelligent

and more than that when they do something different they are often doing it because they think they are smarter than everyone else...and that usually ends up in some horrible crap that is defended with the ole if you dont like it you dont "get it"

that doesnt make them dumb it makes them douchey

You are just making this up. You don't actually know this and couldn't possibly know it. And again you're making it up to try and prove that something that doesn't fit your taste isn't intelligent.

I'll agree with this, Tim Burton is a douche. Wes Anderson is a hipster, which means that he is also almost certainly a douche.

There. Common ground. Huzzah!

You all totally left out Burton's best work.

But that's because the emo's and goth's have overtaken it as some sort of cult symbol for their "i hate life" ways.

Nightmare Before Christmas FTW.
Of course I was like 5 when it came out.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

What's an emo?

basically a goth with less vampire worship and more All-American Rejects

^^^^This man knows his stuff

Though I might replace All American Rejects with My Chemical Romance.
