I never knew The Crow was based on a comic book.

Me either. I was under the impression is was based on a true story. Just like Jurrassic Park and Ghostbusters.
I said watch the game and you will see my spirit manifest.-ILLEAGLE 02/04/05

i didn't know constantine was comic book based either.  i should have known that some hollywood schlub couldn't have thought that up though.

Sin City has to be the most creative comic ever created and my fav

They're out for blood. Girl blood!

Sin City had an interesting style, but it was a total cheesefest. Not quite Batman & Robin cheese, but certainly worse than Blade 3 cheese.

interesting style is an understatement. the movie was so much like a real comic it was an amazing artistic achievement in cinematic history. yes, the dialog can be cheesy at times, but you do realize that's how it was supposed to be done, there was a point to that. It was intentional, which makes it even better in my eyes. most comics and graphic novels do have cheesy dialog, and specifically one that takes place in an era when that sort of dialog was trendy.

spiderman 3 was probably the worst movie ever created. 2 was pretty bad too. One was alittle above average for comic movies.

As bad as it was Ang Lee's the Hulk takes the cake. Possibly the worst movie I ever saw in the theaters.

Good comic book movies (has been covered before, in this thread)
New Batmans
X-Men 1 and 2
Spiderman 1 and 2
Sin City
Iron Man

Constantine blew. The 80s Batman was average. If not for Nicholson that movie is hardly watchable.

Im gonna get hell for this but I thought the new Hulk was better than Ironman

Constantine was awesome and you're all just jealous.

But seriously, Peter Stormare as Lucifer and Tilda Swinton as Gabriel were two of the greatest casting decisions ever made.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Other than Frank Miller being a really bad writer? This is the guy that wrote the line "I'm the goddamn Batman."

The man. The myth. The legend.

overall, i enjoyed the movie very much.  but i thought there were some holes throughout the movie that left me either searching for the relevance or asking "what happened to....?"  but the few glitches in the movie didn't deter from the overall plot or take away from the big picture.  and the action was awesome.

I go to the movies to masturbate in the dark surrounded by strangers.

Oh, and the popcorn's good too.

the ledger one was very good....the first one was really painful

i thought the first one was great.  keaton was surprisingly good as batman, basinger was hawt and nicholson played a great joker.  to me, it was somewhere between comic book batman and tv show batman.  after that, they all went down hill and took more of a tv show/kiddie comic approach.

the more recent productions seem to have followed more of the comic book's darker perspectives.  i haven't seen either of the 2 new ones though so i'm just basing that on what i've seen in previews.

by first one i meant the first of the bale batmans....the nicholson one was very good in its day but like sb said it has become unwatchable since then

i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

Sgt PSN

gotcha.  and yes, it definitely hasn't aged too well but it hasn't become unwatchable.  i can still watch it and enjoy it and i think most people of our generation could as well.  the problem with it though is that younger generations wouldn't enjoy it at all.

Yeah but kids these days are shteinheads who need to learn about the real world, so their opinions don't matter go Obama.

Tim Burton sucks, aside from Sweeney Todd everything else he's made is completely unwatchable.
