Anyone seen a good movie lately?

I also liked Lost in Translation.  I'd watch Bill Murray read the phone book for a couple of hours, however, so. . .

Also - I didn't bother renting/watching Fear & Loathing when it came out because I can't stomach Johnny Depp and I couldn't bear to watch one of my favorite books being hacked to death on screen.  Based on rjs's commentary, I guess I made the right choice with that one.

I don't read books, so what the hell do I know. Movie= easier.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

He chose Temple.

It was either that or West Chester. I'm a mediocre person, sorry.

lost in translation = average at best with a negative replay value

sideways = supertastic

broken flowers = suicide inducing

Don Ho

Took Don Jr. to see Rocky Balboa the other day (sadly it was raining in Hawaii - xmas break + rain - surf = MOVIES!).
Boy loved it.  I thought he was getting bored as there was little action compared to the first four movies (Rocky 5 does not count) but he really liked it.  I enjoyed it.  Nice feel good movie.  I don't know who that woman actress was but she did a great job.

Watched "The Devil Wears Prada" on DVD the other night with my wife.  I was expecting a much better movie.  Pretty lame, even for a chick flick.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

The BIGSTUD

Crank - Typical Statham movie. Over the top action and plots that make no sense, but fun, entertaining and nothing too long and drawn out. Oh yeah, and a couple hot girls here or there. You get to see Amy Smart's boobs too, and some of a few other unknown hot girls.

Statham is the man/10
Calling it right on the $ since day one.
Just pointing laughing, and living it up while watching the Miami Heat stink it up.

Absolutely 100% true.

I am a Bill Murray fan, but both LiT and BF were abominations and wannabes of the movies they hoped to be, and in the case of Lost in Translation, one of the most overrated movies ever.

General_Failure

I'll still watch The Man Who Knew Too Little if its on.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Stripes is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I'm proud to say I saw LiT like 50 times. This year in the summer it was on like every night on encore and I watched it. I just never get bored of it.

Love that movie.

You're only driving my point home.

I thought Lost in Translation was great.   i don't think i'd be 'proud' to watch any movie 50 times, but i've definitely seen it a few times also.
