Also, I watched Army of Darkness two more times this weekend. It still farging rules.
that's one of those movies I've always heard about but never seen

Well get off the suck wagon and watch it, jackass.

what's it about

It's about Bruce Campbell solidifying his position as the baddest of badass B-movie actors to ever sport a chin. In reality it's the third Evil Dead movie. The first one was more or less boring, the second one has some outstanding parts (firehose of blood rocketing from a hole in a cabin wall, for example) and Army of Darkness just full out stomps skull. Chock full of the best one-liners you'll ever see.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

i just might have to check it out

You should.

Speaking of B-Movies, I ordered Jacqueline Hyde the other night. I thought it was a good movie, but I like B-movies a lot.  Not enough, though, to justify the purchase of Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter. That's still the best titled movie ever.

It's a romantic comedy.

Starring Leonardo DeApricot (or whatever) and Julia Roberts.

i saw most of Pi last night, what a cool farged up movie that was.

I watched Monster over the weekend. That's the one where Charlize Theron played the serial-killer chick from FLA.

It was below average. Christina Ricci was in it and she looked farged up. She's got a huge head.

I also watched Barbershop 2 and like many other sequels, it sucked.

MURP

watched Gozu last night... which is the strangest of the Takashi Miike flicks i've seen so far.  farging weird.

PoopyfaceMcGee

"The Ice Harvest"...

Sucked.  Very disappointing.  2/5 max.

Layer Cake was a crime caper sort of in the style of Lock Stock and Snatch. It was good, and I enjoyed it emensely, but it tried to interweave a plot-line or two too many and t was easy to lose track of who was doing what and why. I'll watch it a second time and probably enjoy it more, but would still give it a strong 3.5 or 4 out of five.

just got done watching it.  immediately one of my top 5 favorite movie endings ever.  a very good movie and easier to understand than I thought going into it.  with these British flicks it's usually a given that you have to watch it a few times to get the entire grasp of everything.  but very good movie.

Saw "Walk the Line" last night. Sold out as were most of the movies. Very very good. It was obviously a movie which could have been shown from several points of view. This one was just harsh enough, yet kind enough to Cash that it was believeable yet still gave the you the goosebump effect as he worked thru some songs that were destined to be classics. If you are a Cash fan, its a must see. The dude who plays Cash does an admirable job, though its tough to fill a legends shoes in the singing department .... but he's good enough that you forget its not Cash singing by the end of the movie, which is no small accomplishment. Both he and Reese Wetherspoon apparently did not know that they would have to do all their own singing when they landed the parts. Reese (as I call her), reportedly balked so badly that at one point she alledgedly broke down and demanded her agent get her out of the role because she didn't want to do all the singing. I find that a little hard to believe, because for my money, she not only nails the role, she steals the movie.

Reese Witherspoon - Best Actress - Walk the Line. Guaranteed nomination, and I'd vote for her.
The NFL old standard.

MDS

Walk the Line- not as good as the hype, but still a good movie. Witherspoon and Phoenix are gonna be in there to win best actor and actress. 3 out of 5

Sideways- best picture nominee my ass. i thought it sucked. what a waste of my time. i dont care about some stuck up rich dudes whiney bitch life in whine country. i love giamatti, but even he couldnt make this good. and where the hell were virgina madsons boobs? boooooooooooo.

The Firm- its like for 10 years ago, but it was on today. not bad.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

That's hilarious, I watched that for the 1st time too.  It was on HBO and I happened to catch it from the begining.
