I forgot to add, that Star Wars trailer looked amazing.   Then again, so did the initial Abrams Star Trek trailer.

I showed my daughter the trailer last night, and she said, "you know, Dad, I never really got Star Wars."  Broke my heart more than a little, I must say...

If you're not convinced this planet is doomed by the prospects of irreversible climate change, over-population, genetic manipulation/degradation of food stocks, bio/chem/nuke attacks or even the sudden appearance of an understandably pissed-off deity, this should pretty much put the question to rest for you.

The latest Fast & Furious movie has now crossed the billion dollar threshold for worldwide box office.  In 15 days of release.

A.  Billion.  Dollars.

Doomed.  We are all farging DOOMED.

My students were aghast that I had never seen any of the Fast & Furious movies.  They just wouldn't believe it.

theyre actually amazingly perfect movies for what they are

of course its a ridiculous movie....but the action is great, characters are fun, everyone is hot, the sky is always blue, the good guys win, the dialogue is snappy, it doesnt take itself seriously but at the same time it does. no joke its a terrific summer blockbuster franchise.

i know you 2 are combined like 10000 years old, but people, especially teenagers, like fun movies.

I know nothing about superheros but how could superman not murder batman in less than two minutes

I asked this same question to my comc book nerd buddy and he said Batman's intelligence and the way he figures problems out is what evens the odds.

I watched the trailer...movie is going to be a train wreck. The last Superman blew hard and anyone playing Batman after Bale -especially so soon- is going to be a letdown

yeah bale is a good actor (with a comically bad batman voice in the movies) but the batmans are all Nolan....no more batman movies ever unless he does them and hopefully he never will...really after that batman trilogy its probably a good idea to never make another superhero movie period

My kid was a big fan of Mall Cop when it came out 6 years ago. So, he was looking forward to the sequel, which we went to see yesterday. I mean, we weren't expecting it to vie for awards, but it was a hideous train wreck of a movie. Stupid funny would have been okay, but this was just stupid.

He walked out of there pretty dejected about it. Haha...it reminded me of when I incredulously walked out of the last bullshtein Indiana Jones installment.

Really bad, though. Nothing redeeming about it in any way.
