finished the oj doc

not a dochead but i cant remember watching something as good and indepth as this
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

I don't get the interest in a broken down sociopath.  Maybe if there was a CTE angle that caused him to butcher his ex-wife and her boy toy, but otherwise, not so much and especially not a five hour expose'.

Whatever, though.

goldman was def gay...he was just some waiter returning something to her. wrong place, wrong time

nicole was all up in marcus allen and some real estate honcho. she wasnt going to give it up to a poor waiter.

regardless, its not just about oj. its about everything.

That still doesn't change the fact that I have no interest in the subject.  He is a scumbag all-time awful human.  farg him to hell.

Between the end of the Cold War and 9/11, the Hertz guy slitting his wife's throat was what passed for news story of the decade. Sure you can tie it into a number of broader trends in society, but no more than many other crimes. I mean the former Speaker of the House was just caught paying hush money to boys he farged, and basically no one cares.

Doesn't mean that someone can't create an amazing OJ doc, though. A filmmaker can make a great doc about electing a 6th grade class president if he knows what he's doing.

I saw 10 Cloverfield Lane this morning.   The movie was actually fun and entertaining as hell.  Goodman was great as a creepy child killer.  But Mary Elizabeth Winstead was awesome and so hot.  I loved the Alien Ripley homage with her at the beginning.

Solid B+ and I hope they do a sequel with her character.  They definitely left an opening.

Been mentioned in this thread before, but I finally got around to watching Let the Fire Burn. Amazing documentary. Considering the topic, I would expect it to be of interest to just about everyone here.

Had a few hours to kill so I checked this out. Wasn't sure what to expect when she got out of the shelter, needless to say I was surprised.

Is it about barbecuing?

Because I'm IN if that's the case.

Nothing better than charred cow and pig.

Checked out the 13 hours Benghazi movie. Considering the theme and that it was Michael Bay I expected the worst, it was average but watchable.

BVS wasn't good. If you go in expecting 2 hours of entertainment and not some grand cinematic experience you'll leave satisfied. It's about average as far as comic book movies goes. I thought Man of Steel was the worst comic book movie to date. It was better than that and better than most of the reviews I read. Affleck was actually halfway decent as Batman.

Just got around to seeing this. I thought it was good. could've been better. I think they drug the build up of the BVS fight too much. but yeah, Affleck actually did a good job as batman.

also, there's wonder woman.
If guns kill people then spoons made Rosie O'Donnel a fatass.

Ugh - I'd rather watch 13 hours of Cowboys Super Bowl highlights than that conservative dog whistle propaganda bullshtein.

The movie was about the contractors who saved the lives of the CIA members in Benghazi...had nothing to do with conservative propaganda.
