on my fifth attempt i made it through fantastic four. i guess it wasn't terrible just a little slow for a comic book movie. certainly no san andreas.

I'm guessing you're talking about the new one from last year. I thought it was cast way better than the original, but agreed on it being slow to develop. I don't think I would have minded the slow pace had there been a bigger payoff at the end with Dr Doom though. He was on the movie for like 5 minutes and the fight scene was lame as farg. If they can keep that cast together for sequels, they could make a solid string of movies provided that the don't farg the endings in all of them.
