Oh yeah, I remember that.  I guess that kind of counts. I also liked the nod to his unhealthy obsession with Bea Arthur near the beginning.

I asked my daughter if she wanted to go see Superman/Affleck today, and she said, "eff no, Dad... that's lame."

She actually said, "eff" not farg which both annoyed me and made me proud.

Have a series of Doctors appts today so I took the day off. Had a few hours to kill between appts. Went and saw Batman vs. Superman. I hated Man of Steel. This was a better movie. It's not nearly as bad as people are making it out to be. I have my criticisms and didn't leave the theater in awe but it was better than the low expectations I had walking into the theater.

ive seen the word razzie tossed around in more than a couple reviews of it so I think even I would leave thinking it was better than expected
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

I haven't seen it yet.  I was going to go tonight but I got caught up doing some things.  Anyway, I decided to take a peek at the Rotten Tomatoes reviews and now I can't wait to see it.  If those snooty douchefargs hate it that much, it's got to be worth seeing.

god forbid people in America actually listen to intelligent people but if that's not your cup o tea rotten tomatoes is actually chock full of nerdy blogger reviews as well

Movie reviewers are a notch above pond scum.  Barely.  So it's not exactly a shock that you lend them credence.

Most comic book movies have gotten good reviews on RT (even ones I disliked like the Captain America movies).   The recent comic books movies that have not gotten good reviews (Green Lantern, Fantastic 4 etc) have had a consensus from audiences that they were zesty.  Not sure where there's some pattern of elitist movie reviewers trashing comic book movies.  I figured BvS was going to be bad from the moment the trailer dropped, but then again I have issues with every Snyder movie I've seen.

SD

BVS wasn't good. If you go in expecting 2 hours of entertainment and not some grand cinematic experience you'll leave satisfied. It's about average as far as comic book movies goes. I thought Man of Steel was the worst comic book movie to date. It was better than that and better than most of the reviews I read. Affleck was actually halfway decent as Batman.

She's in it and I'd watch her read the phone book for two hours.

The end.

Don't know why but I watched the new Vacation. It starts off ok but overall it's really, really, bad.

I haven't seen it but I feel like the funniest part in the movie is when hot chick in a sports car gets demolished by on coming traffic, which they showed in every single preview. That was one that should have been saved.  I can't imagine how unfunny it is in the movie when you already know it's coming.

Munson

I caught it about halfway through last night and said farg it.

The scene where he hits the steer had me laughing pretty hard, but other than that it was mostly meh.

The puns after the steer scene were punny too.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

SD

Captain America Civil War has one amazing fight scene, rest of the movie is sort of a bore.

Rome

Can't stand the character and the movies are little more than poorly made television series episodes.
