Birds-Colts may be ready for prime time

Officially, the NFL won't announce which games will be moved to a later time as part of the new flex scheduling for another couple of weeks.

But some hints in a Los Angeles Times story yesterday suggested at least one Eagles game will be switched to prime time.

The unofficial list of what the Times referred to as NBC's earmarked games included the Birds' Week 12 trip to Indianapolis on Nov. 26. That's listed as a 1 p.m. start, but don't be surprised to see that game switched to 8:15.

Two more Eagles road games, at Washington on Dec. 10 and at the New York Giants on Dec. 17, showed up in the Times story on Fox' projected list. Those games, scheduled as 1 p.m. starts, could be moved only to 4:15.

Flex scheduling will affect the starting time of games starting in Week 10. The NFL will announce the changes 12 days ahead of time, so those Week 10 changes would come out on Oct. 31 and every Tuesday thereafter through Dec. 19.

One Eagles home game that won't move is Monday, Dec. 4, vs. Carolina. Two November home games, vs. Washington on Nov. 12 and vs. Tennessee on Nov. 19, are scheduled for 1 p.m. starts.

The final Eagles home game is set for 1 p.m. on New Year's Eve vs. Atlanta. NBC and Fox won't have to announce time changes for Week 17 until 6 days beforehand, meaning that fans holding tickets won't know until Dec. 25 whether they'll attend a game that starts at 1, 4:15 or 8 o'clock.

That final weekend will feature Giants-taterskins at 8 p.m. Dec. 30 on the NFL Network, and a doubleheader on Fox and CBS on Dec. 31, in addition to the 8:15 game on NBC.

SunMo

i can't think of anything worse than an Eagles/Falcons sunday night, new year's eve game
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

MDS

I'm going to the Eagles Giants game and a 8:15 start with the possiblity of having a 8:30 final the next day is awsome.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Rome

I read through this thread and was pretty shocked at some of the predictions.  Some of you were spookily accurate.

On the other hand, some of you were retarded as hell.  Well done!

:yay

stop saying trap game

everyone

No.  Shut up with your ridiculously overblown opinions.  You admittedly don't even really watch much of the NFL outside the Eagles, right?  Right.  And if people want to use buzz-phrases like "trap game" and "point of attack", we're going to farging use them.  Hell, we put up with your butter joints and johnsons and penis butters and whatnot, so the way I see it, you have no right to even come close to telling people what terminology to use.

Penis butters :-D

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds
