The funeral for the NYC officer is tough to watch - hate seeing the family go through that.

I also don't like seeing the cops turning their back on the mayor. I still don't get what their beef is with him. Because he spoke out against the Garner killing?

I mean goddamn...have some respect for the dead officer and his family and keep your goddamn childish back turning out of the service. That's disgusting.

The lack of understanding and empathy among the rank & file is truly amazing.    If a cop gets murdered in cold blood, it's a farging tragedy requiring universal grief and respect, yet when a citizen gets killed by one of theirs, it's just too farging bad.

They have too much power and absolutely no restraint.  It's a toxic combination and that's why the city is about to explode.   The poor are sick of being treated like animals by the cops and the so-called justice system.   shtein's at a boil and this isn't the last time of theirs is going to get shot.  I'd be surprised if this sort of thing doesn't become a regular occurrence.

I actually made the mistake of reading some of the comments on Facebook regarding this issue and I am literally sick to my stomach now.  As in ready to full-on puke my guts up.

This country is an absolute mess and the people in it are beyond contempt.  Depressing beyond belief...

Yeah man I was reading tweets from people in response to the news orgs tweeting the story out and it's depressing.

The blood on the hands thing (aka foxnews talking point) along with the outright racism towards black folks is disgusting.

My theory on the first one is that they all planned it. Like they all had miserable lives for some reason or another, were in massive debt or stuck in zesty marriages and jobs, and they all just wanted to get away and start fresh and somehow grouped together on an internet forum to talk about it. Then they worked out logistics, kind of like noah's arc. Two pilots, some doctors, engineers, farmers, scientists, etc., all that they would need to start a new community. Now they're all living in their own little perfect paradise somewhere on an island with amazing weather.

I mean I'm sure it was just a fiery crash where they all burned alive but I would like to think this happened. Now this plane is just the second group coming out to join them.

so im doing some work for a property management company....go all over the city and notify the banks of their status (condemned, abandoned, etc.). very few problems, even around the way. i was in south philly today, around 20th and snyder. nice block.

anyway the banks give us a list of addy's....no names, no personal info...just addy's.....some lady started giving me shtein...i calmly explain im on the level and show her my giant list of properties, which is just a list of addresses.

me: my boss just gets a list of addresses from the bank, and we go out
her: what's his name
me: zach
her: zach what?
me: i think silverman
her: of course, thats natural
