I hate thieves...

Last week someone cut into the hurricane fence we have around our 18-wheelers where we park them overnight and stole all the batteries from them. All five trucks had their batteries stolen. Apparently this is a thing...a black market for truck batteries.

Yesterday our credit card machine in the retail area stopped working. We couldn't figure out why. Well over the weekend someone hacked into it and credited $12,000 to a card. The machine shut itself down...but damn.

Yeah, and get a decent price.  I've held onto my batteries the last two times I needed a new battery.  The stores will do "Free Disposal" I laughed at the guy when he was telling me how its good for the environment. 

As far as the POS hacking, it's reached an epidemic level.  Can't go into much detail but I'm surprised it took this long for the bad guys to figure out.  It's reminiscent of the first BJ's and TJ Maxx hack years back.  Those guys were pioneers.

walking back from the liquor store earlier and dude was face down on my corner. few of us got close to check then a cop came flying in. yeah he was dead. poor dude. cops did their thing and just kept saying no trauma meaning i guess he just froze. sad shtein.
