Farg this nerd shtein. Here's some not-news about comic book movies.

Sony Leak Reveals Spider-Man / Marvel Crossover Almost Happened

QuoteMore top-secret movie information has been revealed in the wake of the Sony cyber-attack - this time about Spider-Man.

Emails sent between execs at Sony and Marvel reveal that the movie houses had considered teaming up for an animated Spider-Man comedy - and even having the web-slinger show up in 2016's Captain America: Civil War.

The emails were sent by Sony motion picture chief Amy Pascal, and included correspondences with Sony CEO Kaz Hirai and Disney CEO Bob Iger, according to The Wall Street Journal.
One of the messages, sent on 30 October from Sony Pictures president Doug Belgrad to Pascal, discussed a potential scenario that would see Marvel produce a new trilogy of Spider-Man movies while Sony "retains creative control, marketing and distribution".

In a separate email, Pascal tells a business partner that Marvel wanted to include Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War. As comic-book fans will know, Spider-Man plays a key role in the 2006 comic book storyline Civil War.

Many dedicated fans have called for Marvel, which produces the blockbusters Avengers and Iron Man, to take back control of Spider-Man from Sony, which has a long-term license.

Discussions for a Spider-Man trilogy have since reportedly broken down but an animated Spider-Man comedy, produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller of The Lego Movie, could still be in the works.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Spectre comes out next November.  That will probably be the next time I go to the movie theater.

I hated that bullshtein in high school.  Why would I waste my money or time watching that nonsense, especially the Hobbit?

Ugh...

calm down, nobody said you had to.

I'm saying Rome has to...he deserves the punishment

Nah I'm okay with it being done in two movies because it was one of my favorite books as a kid and I didn't want any details cut, plus I wanted/like that they've decided to tell about what Gandalf was doing while he was on his "business up north". Two 2-hour movies would have been perfect for it, instead we're getting 3 2 and a half hour movies.

exactly, jackson milked this. no reason this needed to be a trilogy. still though, im pumped for this one because it seems it will be the one least filled with fluff.

but i am sci-fi/fantasy nerd so of course i'd love to see silmarillion on film.

I saw The Counselor and I wish I hadn't.

I remember being excited because of the cast and that it was written by Cormac McCarthy.  Then it got zesty reviews so I didn't go out of my way to see it.

Watched it and the first 45 minutes or so I was thinking, this is pretty good, not sure why it got panned.  Then the last hour occurred.

Lady friend has really bad taste in movies...worse than Romes if you can believe it...so she red boxes 'Tammy' starring Melissa McCarthy. Never heard of it before she rented it but it's terribly unfunny. She even hated it so we went to #town midway through.
