Did you guys hear about this Guardians of the Galaxy movie? It was the only enjoyable thing I got to watch today.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Rome

Saw Interstellar with my kid yesterday.  I can't stand MM but he wasn't hideous in this movie.

Jessica Chastain stole it, though.  Goddamn she's yummy.

Solid B but on the lower tier of Nolan pics.

going to the final hobbit installment on sunday. jackson says he done with this franchise but i give it 5 years tops before he starts looking at screenplays for silmarillion.
If guns kill people then spoons made Rosie O'Donnel a fatass.

SD

Lotr was a masterpiece in film making. The hobbit is a piece of crap in every facet. Worse than the sw prequels which were bad.

Truth.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I disagree on them being that bad. I just hate all the extra shtein they added, mainly the lady Elf and the side story with the Defiler. I know they're using that 2nd part as a way to keep Gandalf's story connected to the main story, but that wasn't necessary IMO.

Would have preferred they dedicated more time to Bilbo's scenes with Smaug, and it probably could have been done in two movies.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

amazingly enough even after seeing some tough reviews by SD & rusty i'm still gonna go.

that said i agree with munson but jackson wanted to milk this as much as he could. either way the movies have been entertaining.

A 200 page book should not be made into any number of movies unless that number is one.

Nah I'm okay with it being done in two movies because it was one of my favorite books as a kid and I didn't want any details cut, plus I wanted/like that they've decided to tell about what Gandalf was doing while he was on his "business up north". Two 2-hour movies would have been perfect for it, instead we're getting 3 2 and a half hour movies.

I hated that bullshtein in high school.  Why would I waste my money or time watching that nonsense, especially the Hobbit?

Ugh...

exactly, jackson milked this. no reason this needed to be a trilogy. still though, im pumped for this one because it seems it will be the one least filled with fluff.

but i am sci-fi/fantasy nerd so of course i'd love to see silmarillion on film.
