even better than that is make mint simple syrup....shtein is so good and it cuts some of the sweetness of the syrup

Yes, I'm undecided which I like better. It is also very good making a concentrated infusion like a tea. Like many herbs, mint gets bitter if steeped more than a couple of minutes, but 1-2 minutes in near boiling water is another good way to go.

Btw, couldn't help thinking of Buddy after the derby (KY horse farm connection and all), and the trainer of the winning horse bears some resemblance to him. Only when interviewed the trainer didn't say the other horses sucked.

i made pineapple mint mojitos last weekend for me and matty with mint simple syrup and a fresh pineapple from wifeys mother in florida....so good

if the race was 2.34 then i watched 2.36 of the coverage...in fact i dvr'ed it...so i didnt see any trainers/owners or shtein like that

There's absolutely no comparison between making drinks from scratch vs some manufactured bottled shtein, especially when you hit it just right.

I'm now out of Blanton's which is as good a bourbon as I've ever had (shout out to RJS recommendation) so I'm off the store for more.

Haha....seriously.  Who the hell spends $5 on 1 item at a yard sale?  If I'm giving up a Lincoln for something at a yard sale, it better plug in and do something.
