Yeah, that's definitely what gay people are pissed about, and not that they can't get married most places, or benefit from their spouses insurance, or visit their partner in the hospital.

you are talking to a misogynist who openly despises females. you think he supports marriage of any kind?

americans cannot stop thinking about themselves in any situation. SD hates marriage and women so farg homos, as long as you can get plastic fake food at a chain joint all is right with the world.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

SD

Well you know you're barking up the wrong tree with me with the marriage argument since I think anyone who wants to spend their entire life with the same person has something wrong with them. It's bad enough to spend your life with them, it's another thing to make it legal.

And just for the record [again] I'm 100% for gay marriage. Christians don't have the right to make the rules for marriage in a country that was built on religious freedom.

terrific

now do you see, even though its arbitrary, why we arent going to a business that is openly hateful and homophobic?

That first article is a nice step. Shame it still happens, though.

The second article is nice for civil servants, but doesn't do anything for anyone else.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Sgt PSN

SD doesn't put much emphasis on gay marriage because he doesn't put much emphasis on marriage between any 2 people regardless of their gender and I can certainly relate to that.  Marriage is stupid and I'm never doing it again.

But gays aren't treated equally in this country because people don't want gays teaching in their kids schools.  They don't want gays working with them in the office.  They don't want gays showering with them in the locker room.  And that's just your every day homophobe.  Then there's the bible thumpers who think they're an abomination and are somehow destroying the moral fiber of society.

honestly everyone is an icehole except for SD. chick fila has a new truck down at metro center and i eat that shtein.

rjs246

Stop eating fast food and none of this will matter.

Also, I tend to agree with SD on his stance if for no other reason than that once you start boycotting Chic-Fil-A you'd better stop buying gasoline of any kind (Arab sultans put gays to death and control much of the world's oil supply). You should also stop giving money to the Flyers and cash out the 401k that you have with JPMorgan etc etc. It's potentially never-ending. Of course, I'm not going to eat Chic-Fil-A anymore because I never cared enough to go out of my way to go there in the first place and the ladyfriend is all up in arms so here's me talking out of both sides of my mouth.

The one other thing I will say is that SD's point about people being able to hate whoever they want is only half right. Everyone is entitled to dislike whoever or whatever they want. I, for example, hate fat people and SUVs. But once you open your mouth about your biases you'd better be ready to deal with the consequences. And if you're in a position of power and you open your mouth to advocate the denial of rights to a certain group, you've crossed a line away from personal freedom of preference and you have to expect that people will respond.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Rome

Dan Cathy has every right to personally be a homophobic douchebag.  His company, on the other hand, does not have a right to discriminate against the LGBT community.  Actually, they do, and that's the problem.  They shouldn't.

ice grillin you

people way overanalyze these things....the owner of chik fil a is a knuckle dragging bigot and some people dont want to give him money....everthing else in inconsequential...its beyond me why people would care about someones choice to do this...

fans of chick fil a need not worry.....they arent going anywhere...i know this because 15 years ago i boycotted coors products for the same reason and they are still doing ok
