Chic fil a is a great fast food joint, if they chose to donate to an organization that is for traditional family values well then good for them. Gays haven't been discriminated against on the same level as lets say blacks have. So what they can't marry in certain states...they're probably better off. When you throw the term 'Civil Rights' around I laugh. Technically you're probably right but to me it's not a civil rights issue in my eyes. People like to throw around the term "hate group". When I see Exodus International/Family Research Center beating gays up then I'll consider them a hate group. Until that time they're a harmless religious whacko organization that hates gays. They have the right to hate whoever they want.

Chic Fil A has been giving money to those organizations for years, but suddenly everyone's up in arms because they're against gay marriage. Big farging shock, where was the outrage over these organizations 3 years ago? The whole things a farging joke.

theres no technicality here...its fact...when the whole country has a right to do something that a select few dont it pretty much becomes the definition of a civil right...it could be blacks or women voting...or it could be gays marrying...sure you can place your own personal importance on each issue but i tend to treat all humans the same.....a right is a right

If gays were being forced to drink from a separate fountain and had to sit on the back of the bus maybe I'd be a little more sympathetic towards mocking this whole situation but they're being discriminated against by a bunch of religious whackos. If a gay couple walked into a Chic Fil A would they get served food? Of course they would...so the whole up in arms civil rights argument holds no weight in my eyes. You feel differently, that's fine.

Yeah, that's definitely what gay people are pissed about, and not that they can't get married most places, or benefit from their spouses insurance, or visit their partner in the hospital.
