But yes, in other areas of the board, Todd and IGY are annoying race card playing dumbasses.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

who on this board has said race may not of played a part in this? it was an incident between two seperate races so that has to at the very least  be looked at. I'm glad he's been charged so now we can see in a court of law if it was or wasn't. It took 46 days, but did anyone really think this thing wasn't going to trial?

phattymatty

i don't even know why this has become a left/right issue. to me its common sense but for some reason the right tends to side with the guy who did the shooting which doesn't make any sense to me. fanatical shtein on here aside, i think most people just want shtein do be handled like any other crime instead of dude living his life like nothing happened for the past month and a half. you'd be hard pressed to find a liberal that you know thats cool with the whole bounty on zimmerman deal, they are the fringe and a small part of it.

that being said, i'm a liberal but not a fanatic, and sometimes i get annoyed by the broad generalization, especially on here, that all republicans are racist old whites. living in downtown dc i obviously know a few younger republicans that are good people. but amazingly a lot of them have taken this offensive stance that somehow zimmerman is some martyr that the democrats are gunning for. not that i'm saying anything new, but the radical fringe is becoming the norm for the right, and to make it even worse they are invisible most of the time until something bad happens. which makes me hate politics even more.

HOWEVER, to give these sanford people the benefit of the doubt, if this retarded 'stand your ground' rule was not in effect, dude definitely would have at least been in jail for a while until they sorted things out. and this wouldn't be the huge story that it is. i don't think much of most people, in fact i hate most people, but i find it hard to believe an entire police force down there is racist. as dumb as as it is, as long as dude said he was scared for his life, they were not allowed to arrest him. by law.

i honestly believe that zimmerman is a paranoid racist who should pay the price for what he did. through the judicial system when real facts and shtein come out. but the way this has turned into a political topic because between repubs and dems is disgusting to me. politics can eat a fat one which is why i don't get into it.

So you admit that race could be a factor yet you can't understand why black people might be upset with the way everything went down?

of course it could, I just said that. My problem at 1st was the idiotic Jackson and Sharpton, imo they are race baiters.

Munson

They are idiots and race baitors most of the time...but they are also two very prominent black figures who, while politically are douche bags, have done a lot of fighting for black rights over the years

But all that aside, who cares what they say? Not even most black people care about them anymore. But when a fellow black man was stalked down and killed and knowing the color of his skin probably had something to do with his being viewed "suspicious"....it's no wonder why it became a race issue.

its right there with every republicans imaginary black friend so they can claim they arent racist.

zimmerman did what he had to do. but im not racist. my best friend is black. you know in the 60's democrat's were for segregation bla bla bla

i wonder what hawk's black friends think of this. same with mic. maybe they can hang out with rick santorum's gay friends.

The majority of hate and racism is being spewed by the likes of you on this board and its quite impressive.

besides hateful bigots who am i hating?  and who am i racist against?

You sterotype every one who doesnt believe or agree with you as a racist, inbred redneck, whether they are or are not.
...
so im racist against the race of people who dont believe or agree with me? i think thats it...if im following you right.

lets be real, youre throwing out words sarah palin style and you have no idea what they mean
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Hawk

You realize it is going to be very difficult to convict Zimmerman of second degree murder.   Trevor Dooley was only charged with manslaughter and eye witnessees stated that he was the aggressor.

Unless the special prosecutor has some smoking gun evidence that the trial will reveal.

My problem at first was a 17 year-old boy getting shot in cold blood after walking to 7-11 through his own neighborhood for a bag of candy and an iced tea.

And incidentally, I watched snippets of Hannity last night.  His main thrust was the special prosecutor overreached and shouldn't have pressed for Murder 2.

Funny how Hawk comes here and posts almost the same exact words.

No I went and looked up the Dooley case where the guy is using the stand your ground law to fight manslaughter charges.   Funny that people have used stand your ground type laws and not been charged but Rome only cares when its a black kid being killed by a white Hispanic.

ice grillin you

by all accounts dooley should absolutely get manslaughter if not worse

but he also didnt drop racial bombs and go completely out of his way and stalk his victim down

in court it would be impossible to prove but in a just world zimmerman shiould really get first degree....i dont give a farg what anyone says dooks was out to catch a body

he was definitely gonna make sure they didnt get away with it that night

sure about that?....check out the history of the sandford po po...they have been beyond negligent in many instances

the stand your ground law certainly makes their misconduct easier to pull off but to say if it didnt exist the same thing wouldnt have happened is probably not true
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous
