there wouldnt even be a special prosector without the liberal media and people who arent racist....literally nothing would have ever happened...it took an uproar to get the feds involved as well...similar to the 60's when we had to send law enforcement down south because your people werent be investigated for lynchings and other hate crimes

welcome to amerikkka

yup

It took 46 days for him to get arrested. 46 days. It's amazing that idiots say "he needs to have his day in court"...well the first step in that process is him being arrested. Which took 46 farging days.

And the special prosecutor has been gathering evidence for over three weeks to charge him with second degree murder.   Didn't the initial investigator only want to charge him with manslaughter before he was overruled?

46 days

the 60's? wasnt it the dems who were fighting that?

I love this argument.  The party name was nominal only.  Obviously the entire political landscape has changed in the last 50 years, and the people who were campaigning for segregation would qualify as the southern GOP base today.

And if you look at the actual electoral map in the 64 election right in the midst of the Civil Rights movement, you see the beginning of the political change: http://presidentelect.org/images/e1964_ecmap.GIF

But whatever.

Are you guys using evidence from two weeks ago?   Coon was debunked as cold.... By CNN. Enhanced video showed a mark and laceration on his head.   The left definitely politicized the issue... Dems were even registering voters at rallies.

lol so because some wing nuts were trying to turn this out for votes its becomes "dems were politicizing the issue."

first of all, both sides of funholes. second off, obama saying something innocent like "if i had son, he would like look like tayvon." and the right goes crazy and its a topic for 3 days on fox. im sure it was the negro's fault for opening up his big lips?

everyone, from the parties to the media made this thing terrible and IDIOTS like yourself buy into the whole "its ____'s fault" and for you that would be democrat and black kid.

and lol @ mic. for someone who was alive in the 60's to not understand party shifting is beyond me. you know abraham lincoln was a republican and he wanted to free the slaves. 150 years later republicans are scared of black people.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

its always something :-D

Are you seriously trying to make a comparison to both parties from now and the 60's? Please tell me you're joking. Do you think the majority of blacks overwhelmingly vote for the Dems now because why...? In a thread full of moronic arguments this one might take the cake.

MDS

its right there with every republicans imaginary black friend so they can claim they arent racist.

zimmerman did what he had to do. but im not racist. my best friend is black. you know in the 60's democrat's were for segregation bla bla bla

i wonder what hawk's black friends think of this. same with mic. maybe they can hang out with rick santorum's gay friends.

and not that it matters but shtein like this is why i can't consider voting for the GOP despite my libertarian leanings.  the entire base of the party consists of fundamentalist farging nutjobs.  if i have to hear one more time about wanting to get back to the good old days from someone on the right i swear to god i'm going to farging choke them out.

the gop as it's construed now is only concerned with white men.  really, they're only concerned with rich white men, but there's enough vitriol spewed at Obama regarding race/religion, illegal immigrants, etc to appease the three toothed pickup truck drivers in the south.  PPP conducted polls among likely GOP voters regarding whether Obama was born in the United States, and in Alabama only 14% said yes, and the rest were no/unsure.  In Mississippi the numbers were even worse.  So people can say it's playing the race card by the left, but when the numbers indicate those feelings there's no way to get around the fact that Obama's name/race is what is being played up by the right to rile up the south and it is farging nauseating.

I'm not as liberal as a few of the people posting here.  I would like smaller federal government and have some policy issues which Obama, but it really is getting scarily accurate to refer to the southern conservative base of the right as the modern day American taliban.  Look at the Scott Walker law stripping ways for women to bring lawsuits for employment discrimination, all of the xenophobic legislation in the south regarding immigration, and stuff like the Martin death where people express more concern about how Zimmerman is being treated than the death of an innocent kid.  There is a full frontal assault on all people who aren't white men and it's repulsive.

ice grillin you

there once was a story about a man named jed.....but now jed is dead...and all his kids instead want to kick rhymes off the top of they head....what go around come around i figure...now we got white kids callin themselves stillupfront's moms....the tables turned as the crosses burned remember YOU MUST LEARN

yes i do understand how the repubs shifted to appeal to the white southerners especially through the southern strategy that was rediculous for the right to do.

Legendz, I think you fall under the area that a lot of people (including me) fall under....a Liberal-tarian. Government involvement in certain things, but keep it out of personal lives and etc.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

You sterotype every one who doesnt believe or agree with you as a racist, inbred redneck, whether they are or are not.

Munson

Actually I think he's just stereotyping anyone who's naive enough to believe race played no part in how the murder went down.
