The Nike NFL unveiling is going on now.  The big white equipment shield is gone from the collar of the jerseys and they're back to looking like the 90s.  The new Seahawks jawns are coming up next.  They're now navy blue, gray and lime green...

EDIT: here they are

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I somehow missed half a dozen comments in this thread. Awesome. I shall leave mine there for pointing and laughing purposes. At me or the uniform, either works.

Vilma called out Peter King on Twitter last night:

Curtis Lofton, Chris Chamberlain, David Hawthorne. Get the message, Jonathan Vilma?

JonVilma51
@SI_PeterKing: that u know how to type peoples names??

JonVilma51
@SI_PeterKing reckless journalism is beneath you sir. You've become a glorified blogger

SI_PeterKing
@JonVilma51 It's the NFL investigation, Jonathan. Not me.

JonVilma51
@SI_PeterKing the nfl investigation has NOTHING to do with ur tweet. You've now turned into a blogger who takes shots at players on twitter

SI_PeterKing
not going to go back and forth with you, enjoy your night sir.

KO. Was there a bounty on Peter King?

Perhaps I don't understand the vernacular, but it would appear that King called Vilma out..and got pWn3d.

That's how I read it.

Also, kudos to Vilma for being able to communicate coherently online.  When his career is done, I'm sure there's a sports writer job waiting for him in Brownsville.

Williams really likes head

The audio seems pretty tame in the beginning.  Then he starts naming individual players and targeting specific parts of their bodies.  Gore has had concussion issues, Davis has had ankle injuries.  I don't think Crabtree has had any knee problems but he still specifically mentions taking out his ACL.  I'd honestly be surprised if Payton gets a reduction in his suspension and Williams is probably not going to be back any less than 3 years from now...if ever.

So the fella who released the locker room audio was following ex-Saints S Steve Gleason around helping him document his last days for his son. Gleason has ALS and is making a video journal for his kid to have when he dies. All recordings were agreed to be property of Gleason and their release had to be approved and he did not approve this dude to release them.

What a fleshpopish move on the filmmakers part.

Warren Sapp -- I'm DEAD BROKE ... and I Lost My Super Bowl Ring

Future NFL Hall-of-Famer Warren Sapp has filed for bankruptcy ... claiming he's racked up millions of dollars in debts ... but worst of all, dude claims he LOST his 2002 Super Bowl ring.Sapp -- who played in the NFL for 12 years -- just filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in Florida ... and in the papers he gives a full rundown of his dire financial situation. According to the docs, Sapp owes more than $6.7 million to various creditors ... including hundreds of thousands of dollars in child support payments and alimony to at least 4 different baby mamas. Among the debts, Sapp says he owes $853k to the IRS for 2006 and another $89k for 2010. Sapp says he also owes $2,858 in medical bills for "Corrective Speech and Language Therapy."Sapp says he only has $6.45 million to his name ... and lists all of his assets in the documents ... which include: -- 240 pairs of Jordan sneakers and sandals-- Large Nude women painting-- Lion skin rug (female - lioness) -- Nike golf clubs-- De Grisogono watch (scratch on crystal, nicks and scratches on band)-- A boxing glove signed by Muhammad AliBut most interestingly, Sapp notes he has LOST two of his most treasured and valuable possessions -- the 2002 Super Bowl ring he won with the Tampa Bay Bucs (example below) and the 1999 National Championship ring he won with the Miami Hurricanes. In the docs, Sapp also lists his current salary as an analyst for the NFL Network as $45k per month ... $540k per year. Sapp says his deal with the NFL Network expires in August and he's not sure if the network will extend his deal. Calls to Sapp have not been returned.[\quote]
