grossman has been off the charts....id rather have him right now than a healthy pronger....i cant imagine any other defenseman in the nhl is playing better than him right now

laviolette is master....i thought it was kinda crazy to break up carle and coburn as they have been very good for a couple years now but he knew what he was doing and paired grossman with coburn

kubina has been solid as a rock

good to hear.  i knew next to nothing about grossman and figured it was another 3rd pairing acquisition of necessity.  don't think it's a coincidence if he's been playing like people have said that it's helped Bryz get better too.

bryz excellent play has directly coincided with the team meeting they had where briere and other veterans basically told him to shut the farg up and stop talking to the press like a five year old downs kid and just play hockey....this is good thing because it leads you to believe that it was all mental rather than him completely sucking

That was a fun game to watch last night.   There's 20-25 Canadian snowbirds who watch Montreal on the regular and they were not happy with the result.  They were less thrilled with four guys from Philly busting their balls for two hours, but still, not happy with the loss.

According to Tim Saunders on the radio broadcast, there were quite a few Montreal fans at the game.  The "ole" mock late in the third was priceless.

It's very minor though. He's expected back by the weekend.

How things change.  Two, three months ago I was dreading being stuck with Bryz and sick of his little act.  Now I dread the thought of Bob back in there.  Sure hope this fracture is nothing to worry about.

Couldn't agree more. He's had a nice run but he's going to get lit up in the playoffs just like he did last season against Detroit. The difference between now and 2 months ago is definitely noticable and the Flyers D is much better but if he had trouble handling the pressure of playing in Philly imagine what's going to happen when the playoffs roll around.
