Today's playgroup was the second time Alex has repeatedly pushed another kid and laughed hysterically afterwards. He finds it hilarious. Any ideas on how to stop this behavior immediately? I want to nip it in the bud before it gets any worse.

Matt: your kid is awesome.

Greg: Awesome? Awesome for pushing another child and laughing hysterically? Wow! I don't know what to tell you Erin but you have every right to be concerned because you know what this will lead to if you don't nip it in the bud! You two are good parents with strong parenting skill and I am sure that you will be able to deal with it in the right way but the only thing I can think of is to show him how it feels to be the one that is getting pushed!

so this guy thinks i'm awful yet suggests pushing the kid down to teach him a lesson. people are idiots.

Several things anger me about that.

1. Playgroups and playdates. farging stupid. Nary a one of us had these farging things when we were kids. I went outside to play or asked to get dropped off at a friends or called them on the phone and said I was coming over. But now the people have playdates and playgroups. How effing stupid.
