Anyone seen a good movie lately?

saw the kids are all right yesterday. even got a little teary eyed at one point, great characters. excellent movie all around.

Salt was pretty good. Predictable, but worth the watch.

I watched the remake of Psycho last night which I hadn't seen in a long time. I think it got unfairly torn apart. It wasn't a terrible movie, or even a terribly acted movie. It's just that there was no point in making it. Nothing new was done. It was almost shot for shot identical to the original, so why even bother? Also, VV wasn't awful as Norman Bates but it's Vince farging Vaughn. It's impossible to take him seriously in a role like that.

I take vince vaughn very seriously in is comedy roles.

But yes, seeing him do non-comedy roles is weird. It still freaks me out when I see him in Rudy.

he was good in Clay Pigeons...which is a dark comedy but he's not playing a funny role

Nothing wrong with Vince Vaughan. He's like Nic Cage, you just got to use him correctly.

i read somewhere that he spends his money faster than he can earn it which is why he says to just about every movie put in his face.

He's best when he is playing a mentally unstable role ala, Adaptation, Leaving Las Vegas, Matchstick Men, Weatherman....

This however is his finest work...

Oh and watched Pandorum last night on Netflix. I enjoyed it for the most part, suspenseful and the concept was pretty cool. Not a very high budget film but for a sci-fi flick it wasn't that bad. 3/5

cage is a one trick pony hack. he's basically played slightly altered versions of the dumb ass he played in raising arizona for the last 25 years.
