I don't know who Bill Hicks is.  I work with a guy named William Hicks but I assume they are not the same person.

I used to run for years until a couple surgeries recently that make running a lot more of a grind than it used to be.

The best feeling is that when you start out running long distances and you get winded, then a month or so later you see significant differences in your stamina. It's always nice when you do any type of workout and see significant improvements in an area rather than the usual slow improvements.

Eventually you get to the point where you feel like you can run forever without getting tired. I ran to stay in shape for sports though, so eventually I started sticking with sprints. Running gives you such an energy boost for the rest of your day.

Unless the surgeries removed your feet you can still run.

I've had surgery twice this year and i'm running the philly half marathon on sunday.

I won't win.

haha, I just want to finish at a personal best. :)

I could win my age group though...looking at the past 2 years of results, I'm about 1.5 minutes faster than anyone in my age group (and no, its not 40+ thank you).
