I find this to be a great read...especially for all those who now worship the almighty Vick.         

Not sure what that proves about anything, but nice find?  

i wasn't really talking about the article.  It was more the posts after it and the general feeling on the board about Vick.

Maybe 'worship Vick' is too strong, how about 'blow Vick'?  I think alot of people confuse the unstoppable Vick on Madden with Vick the real life QB. He just was never that good and still isn't that good.  The only good I can see coming from Vick starting is that he plays well enough to earn a huge long-term contract with the taterskins.

Per this lady, he is humbled and is practicing harder.

Basically, he was relying completely on his talents before.  Now, he's practicing harder and watching film and all that shtein.  Is it that hard to believe that someone with his natural ability could become an above-average passer by putting in a little work?  Is it that hard to believe that a stint in prison can change a man forever?

Possibly.  Just as possible that he's playing the good soldier for a new contract.   


BTW, I know ALOT of ex-cons and 90% of them will never change.

That's my point.  It was 4 years ago.  Most of us thought Carlos Ruiz would always be a liability at the plate 4 years ago, if we even knew who he was.  I was a sleep-deprived 180 lb new father, and now I'm a grizzled 200 lb heffer.  Bush was President, and Hillary was going to be the next one.  Real estate was a can't-miss investment, and Brittany Murphy was going to keep churning out zesty romantic comedies.  No one knew who the farg Justin Bieber or Jonathan Toews were.  Four years is an eternity.

BTW, I know ALOT of ex-cons and 90% of them will never change.

Exactly.  What will he do once he gets a big $$ contract?  You know what I think. 

Yeah.....4 years ago the dude was in his 6th year as an NFL QB, and nobody here really thought he was all too great.  I would also say that people are forgetting how Vick played in the preseason, he was pretty awful.  A game and a half of solid football does not a make a great QB.  When the Michael Vick experiment fails by midseason, the Michael Vick hatred will be back again.

In fairness to Vick in the preseason he was playing with the backups and the backup O-line. The backup O-line is essentially the 5 fattest guys on CF who may or may not have played highschool football.
